Bam Bam's chances are looking alot better, I must admit. He's easily the more defined, and more technically skilled of the two. The wildcard is that he's never faced anyone as strong, and powerful as Maidana before. IF he can stand up to Chino's power, he most likely grinds Maidana down for a stoppage. But as come forward, and hittable as Rios is, Maidana could also win by stoppage. Either way, this is probably THE most violent fight to be made in the sport right now. The thought of this matchup almost makes me hard lol.
Maidana would love an opponent like Rios , Rios is Maidana with less pop , he is a pressure fighter and a volume puncher , Maidana is a pure puncher who applies pressure there is a difference . Maidana TKO 5
U got to be kidding me? Rios is much more talented than Maidan quicker and throws much more fluid combinations... If Rios carrys the weight well(i think he will hes a big LW) he will outclass Maidana, will be very exciting and Maidana might even hurt or score a kd but Rios is the better talent.. He might even stop maidana late... Actually i think Rios would love an opponent like Maidana. Oh i cant believe what a decisive lead Maidana has here... Did anyone see Maidanas fight this past weekend?
watching bambam vs acosta over and over again i keep seeing him having a better chance each time. first of all he weighs in MORE than Maidana on fight nightm his defense is underrated, acosta was not able to hit him with straight shots as rios blocked ore parry'd them, it was when acosta started throwing from angles that rios was getting tagged up. also his sparring partners all say he has one punch ko power.
why the hell cant maidana fight on the inside? i thought argentinians were good at that? when he goes inside he throws behind the head or long straight shots instead of compact shots, also he always manages to find himself in clinches inside.
Rios will eventually get to Maidana and **** him up. Rios is the real deal and has shown the uncanny ability to fight all styles his win over Acosta was one of the most impressive performances of the year.
