his three fights against qaulity apponants all have been fight of the year candidates, his aggresive style against more skilled boxers makes for erxciting viewing not only because maidana throws so many big punches with heart and aggression but the fact he's so crude and open giving fighters like morales and khan a chance to show there full repitoire. especially the khan fight where amirs supperior speed and accrucy dominated early on but maidana came back like the warrior he is to make for the 2010 fight of the year.

imagine fights between maidana and pac man and mayweather. he would obviously lose but it would definatly be fun to see it happen.

I actually feel like Katsidis would have a good shot in that fight.

id say he would probably get ko'd at light welter. be a great fight but can't see katsidis hurting maidana.

still think i prefer watching maidana than katsidis. maidanas even more crude so he gets hit more.

to be honest maidanas fight with corley wasnt too great!

Morales was the best value for money in boxing, prime morales was never in a bad fight!

He's ****ing awesome. But I would say your not giving him enough credit, he counters well and he's pretty damn good at applying pressure.

From now on I'm watching every Maidana fight (kinda regret not watching the Morales fight the other night now).

i think he's an underrated counter puncher but i dont think he pressures too well to be honest, his best work is done mid range and in the middle, usually when hes moving forward he walks/runs in with huge wide shots, amir khan just kept firing straight down the middle and kept stopping him on his tracks, someone with more power would have hurt him.

Maybe not the best, but one of best - Maidana´s fights are never dull, he gives his best and is always hunting for a KO.

Yeah he definitely needs to work on his punch placement a little, seems like he just wings it and hopes his power will win out at times. Still it's fun to watch. I also agree that he's susceptible to straight punches right down the middle as well, which is why Morales was able to have such success apparently (haven't seen the full fight yet though).

considering his skill level the amount of effort he puts in is amazing. don't think there to many better sights in boxing than maidana letting rip on the ropes with his opponant covering up.

I'm sorry.. Kats and Maidana are great.. but Donaire is the truth... that guy is sensational... within this current weight division, I don't see anyone he couldn't knock out
