I concur I went to the Pacman v Hatton fight and all of the above is true. One thing I could add if you haven't booked hotel yet was we stayed in the mandalay which had an awesome beach pool and waitresses wearing very little, not too sure what the MGM pool area was like but i heard cesaers was a great pool as well.

Best value is the Trump Plaza provided you don't mind a walk/taxi/tram. It's 3 mins off the strip not far from the Fashion Mall/Treasure Island.

It's $99 a night (and either 4 or 5 star, I forget) and was originally going to be condos before the recession hit. You get a sunken jacuzzi bath with TV (to pretend you are Scarface), kitchenette and a king size bed and a telephone in the shitter to do some deals.

It's also directly across the road from Steve Wynns hotel, where the Mayweather's frequent a fair amount of Sat nights.

However if the budget stretches always stay at the hotel hosting the fight. They comp fighters to stay there so you meet hundreds just walking around (Trinidad was in the room next to me and Hearns down the corridor once). Plus you get a fancy room card that you can keep for the memories.
