After watching the fights on the weekend, was anyone really really impressed by Robert Guerrero, I thought he looked brilliant. Where has this guy been hiding?
he hasnt been hiding anywhere, hes gotten pretty good exposure especially since signing with golden boy. Having said that, I was never that impressed with him and found him boring. He changed my opinion Saturday night though. He looked great imo and was entertaining although Kats deserves a lot of credit for that. Granted, in hindsight perhaps Kats was tailor made for him but Guerrero still handled him with ease. Think theyre making a film bout Guerreros life. Also , how bad was the ref in that fight. Almost ruined the fight
Terrible, he broke the action and took points just when Katsidis was turning the tide. I don't think Katsidis wins but his chance was taken
First fight he's impressed me in. Maybe he's stylistically capable against come forward offensive fighters. Great performance, but I'm still not sold on him being a top-notch 'Elite' force, especially as I hate his tendency to jump weight without fighting the best.
he hasn't been hiding anywhere, he just has had an up and down career because of his wifes battle with leukemia, he was forced to take time off everytime the cancer decided to show up again, he looked after his 3 children and sick wife.
Kudos to him then, third time ive seen him and its really the first time he has impressed me. How would he fare against Rios, Marquez, soto and Vasquez?:think
i think he would give everyone a good fight, he isnt very powerful but very crafty. he and shane mosley have been training together for years, they always regularly spar and have had training camps together both being trained by jack mosley, shane says Guerrero is the real deal, lets just see!
He's never been any where near that impressive before in previous fights. I've always thought of him as a fairly stiff fighter relying on straight shots to get the job done but he did show a good variation in his work on Saturday. He seems a lot more comfortable at 135 to be honest, some good fights there for him but I'm still sceptical about his chances with the top 3 in the division
i think guerraro beats marquez on points the height advantage would be a problem for marquez, but i'm not sure how he deals with brandon rios
