That's an ignorant thing to say. :-( If you are italian, and a guido is fighting, why not support him. If you are Irish, support the Irish guy. Nobody really cares. It's who you connect with.

boxing is not promoted and advertised in the black community any more, for the most part. Also, promoters don't really do a good job of promoting fighters any more. They only care about the promotion and how much money it makes.

I'd say it is the exact opposite. If any race catches hell for supporting their fighters it's white people.

Black fighters support boxing. Not as much as they use to though. Mexicans, asians, Puerto ricans, support their race alot more than black people.

I think Bradley,Williams ,Cloud have exciting styles and more than willing to mix it up... Mosely too (although past It)

Judah is exciting when hes on.

I think its true, at least black fans as a demographic aren't paying to see a young up and comer. It's very difficult for young black fighters to drum up support, look at Hopkins, look at the recent Alexander-Bradley sales, Mayweather on his way up wasn't selling too well - these boxers didn't have the same core support many Mexicans/Ricans have or someone like Kelly Pavlik on his accent either. An obvious exception would be Spinks who built up a large hometown fanbase

Actually Arce is a possible future HOF numerous titles in mulitple weight divisions.. In his prime a huge puncher, very exciting, super tough and usually made for exciting comeback wins... He might not have been a slick or very skilled boxer, but to say he wasnt a good fighter is well.... Just false he was a very good FIGHTER:bbb He is also big in Mexico not just for his crowd pleasing style but his personality... In Mexico he was on reality shows and which helped him build an even bigger fan base..

I'll change my assessment on Arce if he beat Vazquez Jr. on May 7. Arce is good but for me he has not attained that "very good" level. Anyway this thread is not about Arce.

Arce started out at Jr fly .. This is his 5th division hes moved up too! He has been fighting forever and been in countless wars how you can base his entire career on a fight against a prime young champ like Vasquez? Man you go do your homework.. Sounds like you barely started watching Arce when he fought Vic.. Arce has been past it for years, but overall he has had a very good career.

He needs to come on this forum. As much rasicm there is on this forum...He needs to know people support there own color, or there own countries 95% of the time (even if they really don't deserve there support). FFS people STILL supporting Mayweather even through all his boring fights, and his inactivity lately. They support a fighter who trash talks, makes $ rain, acts cocky, isn't all that exciting in the ring to begin with, turns down a fight for 50 mil. Meanwhile a guy like Pac fights anyone, doesnt act cocky, is an all out exciting fighter, and actually gives plenty of his $ to others who need it, and people hate him.
Not being racist, but if most of Floyd's fans aren't black I'd be astonished!

    Alexander has a good fanbase.

As said before I think it is more if you come from a boxing town or not as to how many fans you get.
