True but he had a strange reaction to the shot to the side of the head.

Who was the older lady in pink in the front row of his fight. Obvious choice is his mother but she seemed more like a business manager. She was not happy about the stoppage. Anybody have any insight on this ?

DL's handlers botched this whole thing with him. Money was more important than getting him fights he needed, they never moved him out of Canada and were more interested in selling out big houses at home than getting him out there, which is what he needs in order to get to the top, he will have to learn to travel elsewhere, especially the States. Rubio hasn't traveled well, losing 4 of 5 fights outside of Mexico, but at least he did travel.
The look on DL's face after the fight is all you need to know, you never know if an undefeated fighter can bounce back mentally after a loss like that, I don't think he can, it doesn't matter if you have all the raw talent in the world, boxing is a thinking man's game and more mental than physical. He thought he was the best, found out he wasn't and now he's done. He will never get to the top in my opinion.
The best thing for his handlers to do is give him time off, work on not blowing your wad in the first five rounds, work on standing still and moving when necessary, find him some fights he can win easy and find some fights outside of Canada, he needs to learned to be booed too. But I still think this ship is sunk.

This is a loss that he should try to rematch for before the year is out, maybe a come back fight in the summer, an then a fight with rubio, i see him haveing a good chance at a rematch victory, the worse thing lemiuex could do is go back to tomato cans, an easy victorys, maybe if he loses the rematch go back to square one, or close to it. But he should not back up to much, he just needs to pick his shots better, i sure there was a small block in his head he could not lose, well it is gone for now. Learn what you can but go foward

Probably Alexandra Croft! GYM PR and Yvon Michel ex-wife!

Lemieux was not exposed. This isn't like he fought a nobody and got destroyed. He was stopped by a veteran that he was competitive with.

people use the word "exposed" too much.

I will never trash a fighter on here, they don't deserve it, they are the ones who get in the ring. But I will say or throw **** at their crazy ass fans(DL and Kirkland) who talk crazy **** about these guys and say they would destroy proven elite guys. I feel bad for both DL and Kirkland and hope both can come back from their respective losses, they are the guys that put everything they have into this and have the balls to get in the ring, but I was glad in a way that their losses will take the steam out of their crazy ass and delusional nut huggers.

I will say this however: When Canelo was hurt by Cotto, he dug deep and fought his way out of it, he was hurt bad but still came back to KO his man, he showed his resolve on a huge card and big crowd. That isn't something you can teach. While I think DL and Kirkland can certainly be good-very good fighters even after their losses, I don't think they will ever be great champions or anything. Hopefully they can prove me wrong. I don't follow this sport to **** on the guys who give their all and put everything they have into this, I follow to be entertained and supportive. Nut huggers are a different story....
