I really hate Berto cause he keeps fighting Bums but I bet you 500 v cash that he'll take out Ortiz under 9 rounds. What do you think?

HBO will not allow Berto to lose, Collazo beat Berto, yet the criminal judges gave decision to Berto! Ortiz has the tools to beat Berto, but after he knocks an opponent down, starts winning, he simple quits throwing punches. If he has mental toughness he he can win, but......................He has a chance, but it's up to him..........

When I first thought about it, I thought that berto is gonna destroy him. then I said but ortiz is a good, patient, strong fighter with decent pop and berto stops using his legs midfight and always makes fight gritty if they go deep. Then I thought about how easy ortiz has been to hit in his last 2 fights with big shots from maidana and quick short shots from peterson. Then I thought how berto will be hitting him with big, explosive, and fast unseen shots and thought yeah berto is gonna destroy him.

I'm not convinced that berto's the real deal...still unproven in my book but Ortiz is finished already in my book...he'll make Berto look like a world beater! Way too open IMO

I think Ortiz has a good chance of stopping Berto. He is better suited to 147 lbs IMO.

I think Ortiz has a very good chance at winning this fight and im picking him to pull it off.

This is a pick'em fight imo and very interesting because we haven't seen the best from either fighter.

We have two fighters that are pretty equally matched, with that said,i feel Ortiz is the hungrier fighter and has more to lose with what happened in the Maidana fight and what the media and especially the fans had to say about Victors lack of heart and not having what it takes to become a champion.IMO Ortiz has more to lose even with Berto holding the WBC welter weight title. If Berto loses, there will prob be a rematch and it would only be his first defeat. If Ortiz loses,,,who knows how low it takes him and would he be able to recover from it.

Ortiz as any competitor would, wants to put all that negativity behind him and this is just the fight to do it.He knows he has something to prove,to himself and to the boxing world.

IMO Ortiz will come into this fight wanting it more, and that will be the key factor to the outcome.

    And NEW!!!

I was one of the first people to write Ortiz off after his showing against Maidana, but honestly I think he really wants to win his respect back and he is just a kid still. He has serious skills, and very good power as long as he doesn't just back off for some strange reason when he should be going for the kill, like in the Peterson fight, he has a good shot. 5-1 is crazy.

Berto is a good fighter but proved that when things aren't going his way he doesn't adjust well, like in the Collazo fight. He has decent power and is the naturally bigger man, but his main advantage will be his hand speed. If he boxes smart and uses that to his advantage he'll be able to touch Ortiz up all night and hurt him late.

questions: will the Ortiz jump in weight affect him greatly? will Ortiz come with something to prove? Will Berto be able to adjust should he find himself being outboxed?
