Glass will Shatter and Iron will not dent. And when the going gets tough, the ChinCheckers will be there.
Pacquiao has a pretty good chin. Marquez as well (he gets dropped but always gets back up immediately).
Marciano's chin was overrated IMO, he was knocked down against Moore and Walcott, who basicly was LHW's..
I think marquez is kind of weird, he gets dropped so often that you would say he has a bad chin, yet he never seems really hurt and always gets up and fights on. A part of it is him having huge heart but his chin must also be decent.
All aboard the M&M Iron Chin Express. Sugar Shane Mosely & Oliver McCall, makin' hard punchin' competition look like fools.
Marciano suffered 2 flash knockdowns: against Archie Moore, who in that moment was the LHW champion, and remains to this day the n.1 knockout artist of all time, and against Jersey Jow Walcott, who in that moment was the HW champion, and had floored Joe Louis 3 times and knocked out Ezzard Charles cold (something no one had ever done before in Ezzard's star-studded career). Marciano's chin was solid as a rock. The 2 flash knockdowns were from punches he didn't see, and balance had a lot to do with them.
Only several? More like several every 30 seconds. He's been down like 5 times, no way does he make any list.
didnt marciano weigh 170lbs as a heavyweight or something silly? arthur abraham, carl froch, sam peter, the shots the guy took in the wlad rematch were incredible. paul smith and michael katsidis too
