What has happened to Tuas' power?

Well, he probably still has his power. Power is the last thing to go with age. But he doesn't have the speed anymore. Tua hit so hard because he threw fast and powerful punches.

 

Mr. Magic, who has he fought? 4 world champs: Ruiz, Moorer, Maskaev, and Rahman. And won. He also fought one of the top heavyweights in Ike, and lost decisions to LL and Byrd. Who has he fought? Come on.

 

Maskaev had a glass chin. Moorer was a drunk and done. Ruiz was a joke and only was known because he was puerto rican. Hasim Rahman is known for getting lucky against glass chin Lewis. Nothing special there.

Tua was never as good as people make him out to be but he would still beat Marciano.

Marciano, I think you're stopping short on your theory. To carry on, Lennox Lewis had a safety first approach, and has been ko'd twice. Tyson could only go a few rounds before fatiguing, Holyfield is old, Wlad Klit has a glass chin, Vitali is old, Boytsov hasn't faced any competition, Povetkin is scared, Adamek is too small, Arreola is too fat, Peter is shot. Anybody else we can include?

You're right that alot of people think of strength and power as being the same thing and it bugs me, I guess it's more acceptable for the everyman to refer to it as that even though it's completely incorrect. The same day I first posted in this thread I had someone at uni say the same thing (strength = power) and this was coming from a sports science student. I was shocked that someone studying sports science could say something like that so when I read this thread it got to me Call it what you want but if I see it I'm going to correct you :good

 

I think he spent all his power on that lunging power shot at Lewis when he KO'd hisself into the turnbuckle !
