..you just answered your own question in the first sentence "other than McCloskey has trouble with them"..Lauri isn't a southpaw, yet for most of his bout with Paul he kept switching to "lefty" mode with no little success..you can bet that Roche has picked up on this..why else would he have Khan turned southpaw on the pads..:bbb:bbb

..well spotted puca, the problem with eye injuries is because Paul is inclined to "fall in" when he throws the left hand..most southpaws do this and when you get a lefty v lefty its even more dangerous..:good

UPC response to a few questions on the fight. To quote Bernard Manning, it's a fukkin disgrace what's happening here.

Of the digital TV market there are approx 1.8 million households, what is the split between UPC and SKY.
There are approx 1.6m homes in ROI according to the latest Nielsen survey...UPC has reported 381k digital subs at end of December 2010. 637k sky digital subscribers.

We have received notification from Sky advising us that the Amir Khan V McCloskey fight scheduled to take place on Saturday, 16th April will no longer be available on Sky Sports. Sky downgraded the fight from PPV. The fight has been moved to an alternative PPV channel which is not currently available on UPC. Due to the short timelines it will not be possible for UPC to make this channel available.

You cant blame UPC for not getting Primetime in time for the fight there was never any need for them to get it on there platform before this.

As for the fight call me daft but at the odds for McCloskey he was worth a bet. If Paulie can weather the storm in the first couple of rounds then I think in the later rounds Paulie will come on strong. Khan was in bits in the closing rounds of the Maidana fight and that was him in his best shape ever. He dropped that trainer now I would have some questions over this if it goes the distance. My bets for whats it worth Paulie to win by TKO or KO 17/2 and Paulie to win in Rounds 10 to 12 @ 40/1 well worth a total of 7 euro on the 2 bets.
