Paul was taking the advise of the doc & ref - they told him the ****ing cut was bad - he hadn't a clue obviously !!! If ref / doc stop the fight he must have assumed the cut was bad - probably when he got to his crew was told & then realized the cut wasn't that bad.. No ****ing way he quit - that's what Khan & his crew would like to suggest but couldn't be further from truth.

Paul was very awkward... as is his style. But didnt have much impact overall. He hit Khan clean a couple of times, and china chinned Khan brushed it off easily.

I'm really interested in seeing the fight again because I think Paul might have agreed with calling off the fight at that point.

As for Paul's trainer saying they had a game plan and they would stop Khan later, laughable. Losing all 6 rounds and being content on survival was probably not their gameplan. I would have liked the fight to go on so that McCloskey got stopped or there was a complete shutout. Now they can make all sorts of tall claims

That wasn't really any need for Khan to say anything about whether McCloskey quit - leave that to ESB:yep It is a bit of a shame cos everyone seemed to be getting on just after the fight Khan-McCloskey were getting on when talking in the ring and Hearn was respectful of Khan in his interview at ringside. Basically, Khan has made a couple of enemies for no reason.

I'd make a point that the cut wasn't a big deal.

It's probably best to take what Khan says with a pinch of salt, he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

Having said that, glass skin does exist in boxing. If you are going to fight that defensively you have to bear in mind fights can go to the scorecards early. In a situation like that it isn't unfair for the clear aggressor to get the decision. The waiting for Khan to tire tactice didn't work out. Sitting back and letting Khan win every round didn't come off tonight

Well I don't need to. I can just watch the entire fight and see how many rounds McCloskey won or came close to winning.

I'm sure Khan is affected by this clown and his soundbite. Hearn can go **** himself along with his delusional fighter and fans

Khan gave this punk the biggest fight of his career yet gets disrespected like that, yeah I'm sure he'll give this clown another payday

Hey Hearn, you still worried where Khans money is now :finger

This is the initial thought I had too. So it's not that ****ing out of order for Khan and Roach to think McCloskey felt really bothered the cut.

Granted Khan won all the rounds. The stoppage on the cut was a joke. McCloskey didnt quit the reason he was shaking his head was he was told that the doctor is pulling him out. I think Paulie would of been stronger in the late rounds but he had to knock out Khan to win the fight. Paulie will come back from this and who knows he may well end up winning a World title. As for Khan fighting for Pound for Pound best fighters out there on that preformance no chance.

Hey guys, I am Khans friend and was at the fight. Khan was fired up in the post fight interview because at the end of the fight when he went to console Mccloskey, Breen was saying that Mccloskey was going to knock you out in the next few rounds. Khan was not at his best but he had fever a couple weeks before the fight and his weight drastically dropped down so he was dried up at the weight of 139lbs for a couple of weeks. You will see a total different performance against Bradley.
