Fighters who were KO'd in their careers, but had very good chins?

  1. Tyson's chin wasn't great. The only people who say that are idiots who dont know jack about boxing. Getting knocked out 5 times including being stopped by the light punching Buster Douglas proves his chin wasnt great.

Michael Spinks, although I'm not sure about Spinks having a very good chin at the heavyweight level. At LHW, his punch resistance was fine.

Nelson was kod by Sanchez in his first title shot... Ended up having a great career and was never stopped again.. He had a great chin

Barrera was caught cold by Jones, and later stopped by Pac.. But he had a rock chin.. Even when Pac stoped him he tagged him with everything but the kitchen sink , and still couldnt finish him (his corner threw in the towel).

Tapia had a rock chin and was kod by a body shot late in his career by a jorneyman.

Orlando Salkdo has a tough chin but was stopped a few times early in his career when he was a teen. ANd fighting more experienced guys.... But once he matured he ended up having a damn good chin, ive seen him take big shots by big punchers and it dont faze him... Gamboa put him down, but he still showed a good beard against maybe the best puncher in boxing (pfp).

    Martinez stopped Margarito
ANd we all know about Pac

Actually i could go on forever.... This is a never ending list, and even the best beards get kod.

Actually your the one who sounds like you dont know Jack about boxing.. For the exception of his last too losses (when he was washed up)..

Tyson took alot of bombs before getting stopped.... I think he shoed a great chin in stoppage losses to Buster,Evander and Lewis. You said Buster couldnt Punch, actually thats not true .. Buster wasnt considered a huge puncher but he was a better than average puncher, and had a hard Jab. He was a big heavy too, believe me most top heavys would not have been able to take that many shots from Douglas.... Evander same thing not a big bomber but a sharp puncher.. He also had to hit Tyson with everything but the kitchen sink before stopping him.. And finally Lennox Lewis who is an all time grea puncher.. Watch the punches Tyson took and tell me he didnt have a chin....... Have you seen his fights with Ruddock or Bruno? He got nailed and didnt go nowhere...Even though he blew most guys away in his prime, he took some shots from big punchers.. (see Bonecrusher (last round) and Tony Tucker.

Dwight Qawi another one .,. Was dropped and knocked out by Holyfield in the second figh at cruiser...

Go figure a couple years later he comes in fat and out of shape against Foreman and eats his best shots without going nowhere. He never looke like he was close to going down but htey still stopped it,

Well even though i think Tyson had an excellent church.. I sometimes wonder what would have happen to Tyson if the bell didnt ring.... Bonecrusher did nothing but hug Tyson all night long, finally when he decides to fight he cracks Tyson and hurts him, bell rings right after that and fights over:lol:

  10. Tyson got hit with a jab and a right hand. They werent bombs, Buster Douglas looked great against Tyson and that was it. Yep so let us make it seem like Douglas was this beast. He was a out of shape light punching glass chin bum and he still knocked Tyson out. Holyfield is older than Tyson and was done when he fought Tyson and still knocked him out. Lewis is older than Tyson, fought with a broke hand and toyed with Tyson and knocked him out.

Dont remember Lewis knocking out Holyfield, You know why? Because Holyfield could take a punch.

Tyson's last 2 loses were when he was past his prime. Foreman fought Morrison, Moorer,Briggs, Holyfield, ect ect ect when he was done and he wasnt knocked out and you know why? Because he had a great chin and Tyson had a average one/

I dont know if your trolling or are just unaware on certain things about boxing.

First off Douglas was always regarded as a good talent, he was just an underachiever..Sometimes only half ass trained... He lived up to that potential for his fight with Tyson.. Did you see his fight with then undeafeated Tony Tucker for the title? Buster Douglas was schooling the then highly regarded Tucker, and over the course of one or 2 rounds just stoped fighting and pretty much quit.. Also beat Oliver Mccall.. I heard about Tysons camp making fun of Mccall because he had loss to Douglas... Mccall reportedly told them Man Buster is a good fighter you better not take him lightly.. Douglas also beat former HW champs Berbick and Page .. And took heavily hyped Mike Williams to school and kod him... Buster also lost to a forgeteable fighters, but make no mistake when he was on he was an excellent fighter.

As for Tyson burning out young.. Well if youve been a fan for any decent amount of time, you should know that your statement dont hold much water.. Everyone is different and burns out at different times.. IF we were to go by your logic than Bernard Hopkins is the greatest fghter of all time.. And Big George the greatest Hw, and i guess Wilfred Benitez,Pipino Cuevas,Vargas and countless others were bums cause they were washed up by their mid twenties? Hopkins,Foreman are all time greats but i never hear anyone referring to them as the greatest... As for Tyson getting kod and Holyfield lasting with Lewis.. Well Holyfield is a mentally strong fighter. and fights to the death and also always had a different game plan if one wasnt working out... Tyson(2nd Career) on the other hand would become stationary, frustrated after things werent goikng his way... This is why he ate so many bombs... THere are alot of other factors that come into this.. Im not gonna break it down ,i think you know this:yep

  13. Maybe you dont know boxing kid because Tyson nutt huggers will tell you that his defense was so good in his prime that he was rarely hit. Now you are telling me he ate peoples punches? You mean Don King controlled fighters who didnt fight back? When Tyson faced people who didnt fear him they knocked him out period.

  14. Actually Foreman is one of the greatest heavyweights of all time. He lost 5 times but none of the fighters kicked his ass. 3 of those loses were when he was in his 40s and the last one to Briggs was highway robbery.

Hopkins of one of the great fighters of all time because even past his prime nobody dominated him.

Once Tyson's hype faded you saw how much of a joke he was in reality.

Maybe you should learn to read., you troll. I said Tyson in his second career, in his first career he usually avoided shots and just blew guys out, but he still ate big shots once in a while..No matter how good his head movement was, your gonna catch punches with that killer aggressive style.. Actually Tyson had heart and wildly fought back.. IF you have ever boxed or know boxing, you will know that fighting out of frustration, losing your cool will usually resort in the fighter getting nailed alot..
