Juanma has been going downhill ever since the Lontchi fight

He struggled with Lontchi, Mtagwa, Márquez, plus a scare with Concepción. And now this, Salido putting the icing on the cake. He's not getting any younger and he doesn't show any improvements. I doubt he can bounce back as is, but I wish he can actually make it. Maybe he needs a new trainer. What say you?

You can't deny it, he's not getting younger, he has struggled more and more as time goes by, what would you like to deny?

He was getting hit with brutally clean shots from a older, slower fighter.

Some of those shots were making me concerned for JuanMa's health. They were so damn clean, and Lopez's defense was nil.

A change in trainers was due awhile ago, but it must happen now.

    Paging Floyd Sr.....

The Mtagwa fight took a lot out of him. Shot Marquez being competitive was somewhat surprising to me.

And Concepción almost KOing him if not for the bell.

    Absolutely true.

To me it wasn't surprising that RM was able to compete. What did surprise me is how bad Juanma was in the 4th, he almost went down.

I also think the same, the clock saved him that night. I do take Juanma again if they ever meet again.

Juanmas defense is crap. If he could keep his hands up and not open himself so much when he throws he would be such a better fighter. Juanma gets consistently put on ***** street fight after fight.

I agree that the stoppage was a tad bit too early but I also agree with the stoppage when you look at the entire round IMO Lopez was fighting on instinct for the last round or two that final round clearly he wasnt there.
I hate the excuses arum is making for him, yes we know bob boxing is a serious sport and if your fighter does not accept that reality then he needs to look for another line of work and not make excuses about distractions etc... he lost fair..... I would like to see a rematch though I think Lopez can make a few adjustments and gain it back.

,Not true he just had to step up his competition ... And those guys brought out his weakness... Lopez is still as dangerous and capable of blowing out guys..... Everyone was on the bandwasgon when he blew out Ponce Deleon.. But he just got ther first had Ponce hung around a couple more rounds he might of cracked him........... Even though many consider hiis fight with Lueveno as an impressive win.. Luvevno had his moments with Lopez and i saw flaws.. Luevano just didnt have enough power to expose him more and capitalize.............. Right before the Salido fight i comented that , even after Lopez loses to Salido or whoever .. He wiill still be dangerous and one of the best guys at Fw... But that hell never be elite .. Cause limited bombers eventually get exposed.. He can still get some big wins but he never was as good as everyone pumped him up to be.

I knew Salido woudl finish what others showed glimpses of... A big punching fighter with a so so chin,, solid but not great skils, leaky defense - Will usually lose to Gritty, experienced,Tough chin fighter with Power.

Salido had the right ingrediant all the others were missing something to beat Lopez...

Been watching fights long enough to know the caliber of fighter Lopez woluld turn out to be...

i always said Lopez defense's suck...he relays in his power and his ability to recover from trouble, but as the competition improves those flaws are more exposed. He doesnt have a horrible chin,he does have a horrible defense. He opens up to trade and he doesnt have the fastest hands as Gamboa, wich means the other guy sometimes hit him first.I dont know is going up to 130 will help.I'm upset wasnt Gamboa the one to expose him.

That says it all right there , if Lopez was so good he should have never went life and death with a guy like Mtwaga. Mtwaga didnt ruin him, he just exposed the truth ... That if you make it out the early rounds and have decent good skils you got a good shot.

For all of you that have watche boxing for a while. You should no there ahve always been guys like Lopez there easy to see coming once they get in with a guy that will take him some rounds and test him... Guys like this usally dont have a good plan B.
