Both Ortiz and McCloskey were not world champions before last night, One fought like a lion and fought as though it was the end of the world, took great ammount of punishment and dug deep and got the victory. That was Victor Ortiz, He deserved to win the WBC title and its rightfully his, I have new found respect for Ortiz because of that performance I really can not sing enough praise for Ortiz for how he fought. McCLoskey, Did the exact opposite of Ortiz, He didnt come to fight, He came to survive and get a payday, He didnt win a round, He didnt even through a combination, He did a Fraudley Harrison for 6 rounds and acted post fight as though he was the champion and Khan was the challenger. Absolutely no class whatsoever from McCloskey post fight, Ortiz said good things about Berto and gave us a fight of the year, Yet McCloskey who did jack all in that fight thinks he is entitled to a rematch/handout. I hate to say it but Ortiz fought like a challenger for a title should fight, He won and very fightfully so, I have nothing but respect for Ortiz and the way he fought. McCloskey fought like a bum, He lost on all the scorecards and never won a round and that WBA title he didnt want, He wanted the payday.
I think Irish boxers like Paul McCLoskey need to taker a leaf out of Victor Ortiz book and learn how to fight. McCLoskey was touted as some kind of undefeated Micky "Irish" Ward in the making, He was anything but, Absolutely shocking performance and I think McCLoskey should be embarrassed with that and then asking for a rematch? Beggars cant be choosers. Want a world title McCLoskey? FIGHT LIKE ORTIZ!
McCloskey is a UK fighter to. I can show you another Ortiz fight where he genuinely quit and admitted it. Nobody ever said he was like Ward. He was pathetic last night but give it a rest with the troll threads.

He wasn't touted as anything. No one thought he'd win excpet a few Irish drunks. Ortiz vs Berto was a fairly even match excpet with the difference of being a long time welterweight giving Berto the advantage in most peoples' minds.
