Haha. Rigo is probably Gamboa kryptonite.

    Couldn't agree more.

Gamboa has earned the high profile fight and deserves JuanMa's tentatively scheduled fall/winter slot against Marquez.

Both fights ought to be on the same card.

It wouldn't matter what fights he makes, somebody would still be bitching about it. There's still plenty of good fights to be had and the Gamboa-Lopez fight could still happen if Lopez gets a big win, the interest will be there again, and Gamboa has more time to build his following. I'd rather see Donaire-Gamboa, but who knows when Donaire fights again and there's still some good fights at 122 for him.

Gamboa - Lopez is now unlikely to happen next or for a while. Salido - Lopez rematch looks to be on the cards, Salido could beat Lopez again, this ruins any chances of Gamboa - Lopez...

I would pay to see Gamboa vs Lopez as opposed to Pac vs senior citizens. But yeah, Arum is scum.

That was the biggest worry about Arum taking his time making that fight-someone would get beat first. I think you can still make the fight but it takes a hit and Lopez is going to have to put a couple good wins together first.

I agree with the TS. Trying to build up hype on a flawed fighter is a risky investment.
