Mundine has again proved that despite his boxing skill, his mouth is far bigger than any right hook he could ever hope to produce. Mundine beat Garth Wood on a unanimous points decision in Brisbane on Wednesday night, gaining revenge after Wood knocked him out in a bout last December.

'The Man' as he likes to call himself, declared: "That's not just the sign of a champion - it's the sign of a legend". Not so long ago, Wood earned a living cleaning toilets and collecting garbage. Mundine has been a professional boxer for a decade.

Such post-bout hyperbole is just another sign of The Man's desperation to cling to the remnants of his rapidly diminishing reputation.
