I'm also intrigued by the brother-vs.-brother in the corners.

    Ortiz will duck Rios..............JKing

I don't see this fight happening until the end of both fighters careers. It is Jones vs Hopkins all over again. Rios would take this fight tomorrow though.

Just because someone wins a belt that doesn't mean they can jump two weight classes and throw down wit the best. He s already chunky. Imagine what he d look like at 147 ?

Rio's physical assets don't make him a candidate to move up to welter successfully.

Let Rios move up and get a few quality wins so that it means more when it happens. We all know he's going to move up from LW eventually. I think Ortiz has the tools to beat him but it would be an entertaining fight.

Rios style wouddnt work for him at the higher weights... Manny are all speed demons and made it work to their advantage.. And eventually settled in at that weight..

ALL OR the advantages that Rios uses to his advantage at Lw would not be effective against World clas welters...

For example Chavez was greater or on par with Manny,Shane,OscaR,FLOYD but those guysARE speed demons or grew naturla into ww. Chavez style didnt make for him being a great welter, Jw was limit as an elite fighter... RIos would encounter the same disadvantage at this time... Maybe someday at the end of his career he might , but right now it wont work... I thik He could still be very good at JW though... Victor has always been a big JW.. WW is his true weight class . Efen though he barely moved up i think he already a real strong ww and brought his power up.

Yey but Ortiz still looks strong and cut at 160 athletic type buiilt,,, WHere as Rios at 152 dont lookto solid or strong, maybe even a little flesy..

I know this is nt a body building contest but its stilland indication of their true natural weitht... PFP id say they are on par with eachother... But THIS IS A GOOD BIG MAN AGAINST A GOOD LITLLE MAN. Its not like Rios is gonna use lateral movement get on his toes and outbox Ortiz. And if he goes hth WITH Ortiz he would be outgunned.... I know Rios would rather die thna lose to ORtiz but.. he would go out on his shield.
