yea, its sad to see the lopez-gamboa fight deflate. i was really looking forward to it as well as many of us and who knows to the future. but, chris john is still undefeated and as sad as i was to see lopez stopped, i am also happy to see john possibly getting his day in the sun to get true world recognition in a possible super fight with gamboa.

this would be a great fight? :think

I would be thrilled to see John make mad megafight money. THRILLED. I think he can't handle Gamboa at this point but it could still be really, really interesting.

its a very interesting fight. Gamboa should prove himself that he is the best at feather.

John is a star in his country, I don't think he needs anything from Gamboa at this point.

I see this fight an even.

John can just stay at home and fight bums the rest of his career and make good money. He doesn't need Gamboa.

Best fight at 126lbs. John is a superb boxer with elite skills but showed he can brawl too if necessary. Just a great style match-up as Gamboa's intensity would force Chris to open up and let the fists fly in a really fast paced bout.

Not the easiest one to make, but I don't see HBO having any other choice for a big FW showdown, and a nice fee can always put hostilities aside (Top Rank vs. Golden Boy). It would be negotiated between Lewkowitz and Gonzalez/Öner anyway, so the only obstacle is at HBO HQ, they have to come up with the $ and it's done.

I would like to see it but the cuban is ducking John. Happy with his regular title and dont want any part of the supertitle while Chris John holds it.

Such a shame. Best fight at featherweight now since JML has taken a giant step back.

The thing is who is gonna travel to meet the other one.
Gamboa going to Indonesia is out of the question and John doesnt seem eager to pack his luggages as well.
If Arum had his doubts about selling Gamboa vs Juanma...how is gonna sell Gamboa vs John?...its a good fight,no doubts but unlikely to happen anytime soon

Yeah. John's a WUSHU fighter in Indonesia. He doesnt need Boxing. I bet John's a Sepak takraw player too.

Just a waste of talent. Does he fight at Japan?
