Fight was stopped too soon, the cut was not that bad, but Mcloskey would have been stopped anyway.........later.............

Kahn was made to look ordinary and still quite amaturish wit some of his shots and footwork going forward, and if McClosky's style caused him problems he needs to seriously stop throwing Mayweathers name into his interviews:nut Kahn did seem to be catching Paul a little more in the 5th and what we saw of the 6th. I think the speed and number of Kahns shots wer starting to take their toll, not really hurting him, just the volume of punches imo. And while the stoppage was bull****, I do feel it prevented the inevitable. But with Kahn, you would always feel you had a chance.
I'm convinced Kahn would get stopped by Bradley and think GB will be very carefull with their cashcow:yep
A lot of things said in the heat of the moment post fight. But imo the doc and the ref were a joke, and Haroon Kahn was well out of order:-(

Since this fight was first talked about in January every stupid **** on ESB predicted that McCloskey would be KTFO between rounds 1 and 3. He stayed cool, he made Khan miss and he controlled the centre of the ring... now, instead of coming on and giving him credit and conceeding that they called the whole thing wrong these idiots are now claiming that McCloskey was just there to suvive, just there for a payday yadda yadda yadda...

Unfortunatley we'll never know how it would have panned out as the fight was stopped very controversially.

McCloskey looked gutted. The doctor cost him the fight imo

your potentially correct mate but surely the fight should have continued, it was a world title fight and there was so much at stake, usually a cut fighter is allowed to continue until the blood is seriously effecting his vision, mccloskey's corner weren't even allowed to work on the cut... the cut even stopped right after magee touched it with a towel, it was a dreadful stoppage and once again it makes boxing look corrupt

    Also, another point.

Why was there 3 english judges in a world title fight involving an english fighter?

Not saying anything dodgy was going on but always thought that sort of stuff wasn't allowed??
