As a American boxing fan, this last 1 1/2 has been kinda rough.

You do know all the fighters you mentioned lost too right?? What made them great was coming back from those losses. Well except RJJ....

I don't care where they are from or what color they are, if they can fight I like them, respect to all boxers, tough sport, hurt business as Tyson puts it. This has been a great year of boxing and for boxing, hope the wheel builds even more momentum the second half of the year.

You 100% right about that. Every major fight had a fighter with at least 1 loss, except Ali vs Frazier 1.

I forgot about Andre Dirrell too and he's black :hey. Oh yeah just like Kirkland he hasn't won a world title yet.

When I saw the red, white, and blue on Victor, he won me over as a fan. I'd always thought the kid had talent (and for you mofos who think I jumped on the bandwagon, see my posts following the Maidana loss when Mexicans on here were ridiculing him), but now I consider myself a fan.

He had a mexican fashion hat coming to the ring and mexican flag. Also, he had the mexican colors on his back trucks. I thought Alfredo Angulo was american until I heard about him about to get deported.

yeah ortiz is pretty obviously an american, who also likes his mexican roots as well, he might not dominate his division but he is definitely worth watching for the excitment he brings

Ortiz is American, and actually born here unlike Berto, but I think you are refering to something else...

LMAO at how ironic this thread is! Blacks are the only good American fighters apparently. Go home Whites! We aint got no time to hype any of you, or even mention your names. If Ortiz would have spray painted his face black then the TS wouldn't even have to be sad.
