Ive wanted this fight for years.... I simply dont understand why it wasnt made. It actually really boggles my mind.

It made complete sense when Judah was looking for redemption, having been kicked out of 147 and moved back to 140..... Malignaggi was still a name and a ranked player at 140 and would have been the perfect break out opponent for him, and as for Malignaggi, Judah would be the best win of his career, and a nice payday.

Now, it doesnt make as much sense. Still... a fight I would watch and would like to see. It is still do able, but for the life of me I dont see how this wasnt made.

Never. It doesn't make sense because it is a meaningless fight at this point. Zab is going for 140lb supremacy. He has Khan, Marquez and Bradley in his sights. Fighting Paulie does nothing. No one would buy it, and Zab would destroy him anyway. Plus, it costs too much to have a fight in Madison Square Garden. This fight would not make enough to cover everything. I am amazed at how little some boxing fans know about match making and the business side of things...

There is another intangible here... Zabs commitment... If ever there was an opponent that Zab might take lightly it would be Malignaggi. PM is no Mayweather, or Mosely, or cotto- Zab has been game against MUCH bigger and better names, and did will (even running away with the first 3rd of the mayweather fight) So, I could absolutely see Zab overlooking paulie and undertraining... BUT! It could spell disaster for Super!! Paulie has a granite chin and will be game rounds 6-12 (which is something Zab usually doesn't do well with...) Paulie by Ud or late KO depending how chinny Zab truely is... or Zab by the first KO of Paulie which leaves him flat on his back-

If God exists he will not allow this fight. It's a waste of time.

Would be an interesting fight, I think Judah takes a messy UD, Paulie simply doesn't have the power to earn his respect and Judah's pressure and new found elusivenes would be frustrating to Paulie, plus even though Paulie does have a good chin he can be hurt and Judah's definitely got the power to take most peope at Elite level out.

Yeah it would have made a lot of sense for both guys and you could make the argument that both would have a good chance to win. Paulie doesnt have the size and power to bother Judah but also Judah usually folds in the late rounds and Paulie is tough and fights to the end.

I would like to see it just to have two guys with that kind of speed again in the ring. The khan - paulie fight was pretty enjoyable cause you dont get to see two fast guys like that often. Of course it wasnt good for paulie getting beat to the punch not due to speed but the reach disadvantage and keeping his hands low.

Judah should be able to outbox him, I think it would be a repeat, two fast guys, one with his hands down the other with them up, Judah should land first and outbox him on the outside with his underrated jab. But you never know with Judah:lol:
