There are 3 guys at Jr welter who would son him. Khan, Maidana and Bradley. Ortiz is a good fighter, but there are better fighters than him around the welterweight division.

Have people already forgotten that he had a draw with Peterson in his previous fight? Just goes to show you how overrated Berto has been. He wasn't even in Peterson's level. Ortiz is a good fighter with a good future. He may have 'earned' the right to be recognized as a Pac/Floyd opponent, but there are better opponents out there.

I'd much rather see Pac take on Bradley if Mayweather is still hiding in retirement.

 

yeah but remember he fights smarter now, and also remember his conditioning wasnt the best for the pacquiao fight and was also recovering from the clottey fight from that nasty cut, you have to remember how much cotto was caught by marg, mosley, torres and judah and couldn't be really dropped on his ass, or taken off his feet, thats one thing i like about cotto, his chin is shaky but he can still move around and box effectively or make a mistake like he does often and keep trading, he doesn't become a stumbling job falling all over the place and throwing back uneffectively, althoiugh he messed up big time with pacquiao thinking he should fire back when getting caught by him...

hes not the one punch Ko type but when his left hook is in the zone his timing and hook is perfect, it does damage and has disfigured cheek bones, messed up shoulders, not many has such a good left hook still today like him dispite his troubles with marg and pac...

if cotto trades with him yes he might have a big chance to loose, but if his timing is on point like it is alot of times we might also see ortiz dropped and hurt...not to leave out cotto is one of the best body punchers of the sport..

but this man ortiz damm he looked like a beast in there, it was like watching a lion or a bear this guy looked huge, strong, and powerful, reminded me of vargas when he was younger, and not the vargas vs de la hoya but even before vargas was ripped and big a shame he did that steroid crap...

cotto didnt get stupid with mayorga the whole 11 rounds. hed be effective with his shots but was out of there before getting involved in a trade, he did get hit but went in with purpose of landing his combinations once it came to the 12 you'd kinda see him say **** it and put everything in there thats when the "i got hit in the face but felt it in my hand" shot occured, when cotto finally put everything into the trade...

and if theres anyone "massive" its mayorga the matter how much he's ridiculed by his losses and his ugly and wild style he can Ko ANYBODY... and he did catch cotto with those right hands that have Kod alot of peeps and still cotto had yet not even a facial expression in result of it.

 

At WW Ortiz would ko Hatton... At JW Hattons better but style wise Ortiz still might get the KO ?? At JW its pickem

IF ORtiz sharpened up his defense he could pullf off a win over Cotto.. But untill he does that Cotto would take him.. Ortiz would win the early rounds big and put a scare into COtto , but Cotto regroups and takes advantage of Ortiz flaws.. Cotto late Tko
