if pac hasn't gotten any better, that means mayweather should easily be able to defeat him... but why is he still on vacation and doesn't have the "urge" to fight? :huh

Anyone who says Pac hasn't improved or gotten any better is a total Idiot a Moron and a Hater. I know you're entitled to your own opinion but saying Pac is basically the same is a total rubbish. Pac's balance starting the Diaz fight was very obvious and it gotten better in the Oscar fight. His right hand was way way better than ever. Pac can always fight the way he fought Diaz and Oscar but its just not his forte cause Pac loves to entertain people that's why he's taking hits more than he needs. Now go back to the drawing board and watch more YouTube videos and stop HATING :good:good

They both had cuts over the eyes in the second fight where as in the first fight Pac was the only one cut. You got to rewatch both fight again. Here are the puch stats which exhibit the exact opposite of what you have said. So perhaps you just got your fights crossed or perhaps what you really saw was they both had a little more respect for each other or What I saw was Pacquiao's output was down due to the cuts. (thus Marquez output goes down) Pacquiao is bothered a great deal when he gets cut.

    PAC - JMM 2
    Total PunchStat : 157/619 - 172 / 511
    Jabs: 43 / 314 - 42 / 201
    PP: 114 / 305 - 130 / 310

    PAC - JMM 1
    Total PunchStat : 148/639 - 158 / 547
    Jabs: 48 / 408 - 42 / 201
    PP: 100 / 231 - 122 / 339

**** Johnny punchstats don't mean anything at all at all at all.

seriously. punchstats is nothing more than a couple of douchebags sitting ringside clicking a button when they think a punch did or didn't land. It says nothing about the effectiveness of a punch or where it lands and also they make a ton of mistakes.

you should actually watch the fight rather than look for punchstats which don't mean ****.

That just shows that the entire boxing is rubbish. Being defeated by a one-dimensional fighter like that, while when they are not facing that one dimensional fighter, they are competitive against each other.

Example - Margarito vs. Matinez - KOed
Margarito vs. Cotto - Back and forth battle until the last part of the fight
    Cotto - Mosley - a close fight

Yet when they fought the not improving Pac, it was not even close. I am sure it boils down to style mismatch and good cherrypicking.

He has improved. To say that he hasn't is ignorant. Now he hasn't improved to the point where his flaws can't be exploited. If he fights a counter puncher he will still have problems. If he fights a fighter with great skill he will have problems.

MAB have great skills, prior to their first fight, many thinks MAB is just to skill full for Pacquiao.

    Has Gayweather improved?

His foot speed seemed to deteriorate, he throws same punch over and over, he is KOing less and less despite him cherrypicking his opponents.

Spoken (written) by some that obviously has no experience making weight. When Pacquiao was fighting at 130, he struggled to make weight. As a result he carried less stamina and strenght. Pacquiao is much stronger at the higher welterweight class because he doesn't have to dehydrate to make weight. The optimum weight is less than 6 lbs for re-hydrating. The reason Pacquiao is able to carry his power up through the weight classes is because his punches have his weight behind them. And he follows through with his punches or punches through his opponent rather than just at them.

I have watched both fights a few times. The stats are just the facts that I used to backup my statements about how the fights were very similar. You are the one claiming that the second fight was more intense than the first. So what do you do to support your staments. Attach the punchstats? Next you be attacking something else rather that addressing the subject matter.

Now you might be able to pick out a round or two to support what you are saying but that is just taking the whole out of context. Dispite what you think, the truth is the stats don't lie in general terms and are very good indicators of their output. There is no indication of effectiveness in the stats. Anyway that is what the Judges are for. The compubox stats are only the punch count and was really used only to help settle arguments about the judges opinions. Aside from that the Judges scored both fights pretty even.

I think it was in the 24/7 series that Pacquiao revieled his epiphany. One of the things, I love about this guy is his complete honesty.

Neither is Clottey! Among Pac opponents, Only Margarito is truly slow yet he landed more punches than the other three had landed.

Pac is the best right now. He will be fighting BALCO Mosley next and when Mosley has BALCO he is good!
