So if Pac beats Mosley, then Mayweather OR Ortiz (if Mayweather drops and still has no fight lined up) he might get the champ status?

Thanks, that's what I figured :good
Guess demand for Pac-Ortiz might eventually be inevitable, as one poster made a thread about after Berto-Ortiz, I think it was Doc

    Yeah, maybe.

If one is ranked two or the Ring has a good reason for the 1 and 3 that they can actually sell.

Yes, Philla they are the better team. This may be hard for Pac and PBF fans to understand but it is what you do and NOT what you could have done that counts.

Because if the Bulls never win the big one and continue to be beaten by so called lesser teams, can they be legitimately considered better?

By the way the Bulls are down right now at half.......good mother****ing luck with that.

sh!t they are down in the 4th that must mean that the Pacers are the better team. Everything else that the Bulls have done means nothing because right now the Pacers are ahead by 2 points.

No the Pacers won't be the better team until they win the series. Because "better" that doesn't result in actual results doesn't mean much does it.

It's all just conjecture isn't it?

well in boxing it just so happens that fighters don't get to fight 4 out of 7. IF you look at actual results I would say that although Ortiz beat Berto, Berto has beaten Urango, Collazo, and Quintana while Oritz got stopped by MAidana and drew with Peterson who got owned byTB. And Ortiz' best win after Berto isa 10 round decision over a bloated shopworn nate campbell who probably would've schooled him if he was younger..

So result for result going beyond just 1 fight, Berto > Ortiz.

Again I think Berto can win a rematch, and this is ok to think to yourself or put on a forum. But on an OFFICIAL ranking system, Ortiz must be placed ahead of Berto because he beat him head to head.

It is still just a rank and Ortiz still has to win his fights in the future no one is going to give him anything just because he ranked one slot above Berto.

So PAC vs Mosley could possibly be considered for the Welterweight Lineal title. Once Floyd is dropped from the list come May 1, the rankings will look like this:

    Champ: Vacant
    1. Pacquiao
    2. Ortiz
    3. Mosley
    4. Berto
    5. Zaveck

No.1 vs No.3 for the lineal title.

But since there are no circumstances that make #2 (Ortiz in this scenario) unavailable, a fight between 1 and 3 cannot establish a Ring Champion. Looks like PAC shoulda signed to fight Berto with Floyd dropping out of the rankings!

Getting robbed against Peterson and beating Berto by a large margin is better than anything Berto himself has managed. Urango sucks, he lost to Collazo on most peoples cards, and Quintana was terrible.

Berto is similarly good but he has nothing to show for it, and his team have only themselves to blame, the first decent fighter he steps in the ring with he gets the shock of his career.

It should have been outright for the Lineal Championship if Ortiz was not ranked higher than Mosley. Ortiz goes from being unranked in the welterweight P4P to No.3. Very big jump if you ask me.

    Should have been:
    Champ: Vacant
    1. Pacquiao
    2. -------------> Floyd
    2. Mosley
    3. Ortiz
    4. Berto
    5. Zaveck

Clottey: not won a fight in 32 months.

Mosley: not fought at WW in nearly a year, not won a fight in 27 months.

No reason for either to be highly ranked.
