Rewatching their first fight, there are some things that I'd like to say:

1- Salido has recently said that he didn't train properly for Gamboa. Bull****. Before the beginning of round 11, his trainer told him: "You trained a log time for this/Te preparaste mucho tiempo para esto."

2- Gamboa's ring experience and IQ is way higher than Juanma's. That's the way you fight a guy like Salido, clinch him, tangle him up, MOVE.

3- Gamboa took good punches from Salido, but Salido's looping right hand, never made it home.

4- Gamboa packs more power than Juanma. He put Salido down and hurt him with a short left hooks from short distance.

5- In Juanma vs. Salido, Salido seemed to be bigger, in Gamboa vs. Salido, Gamboa seemed to be bigger. Has Juanma lost muscle?

I know A+B=C doesn't apply in boxing. Mtagwa's fights vs Juanma/Gamboa was not a measuring stick. But I believe Salido's fight was.

    1. I dont think it would matter how hard he trained. Gamboa is usually in great shape and he knew how to fight Salido the right way. Either give him alot of movement or tie him up when on the inside. He used his speed to either hit him from the outside or when in close just tie him up to avoid getting hit.

    2. While Gamboa is reckless at times he is pretty smart and as said previously he fought the right fight.

    3. Yes.

    4. Power wise i would say is very similar but the speed is obviously in Gamboas side. He gets his punches in faster creating more opportunities.

    5. I think i remember Salido being bigger than both fighters. Salido is a beast of a FW. Didnt he come in overweight for the Gamboa fight and weight close to 140 on fight night??

In boxing you never know what can happen. Thats why they fight the fights.

The major difference between the Gamboa/Salido fight and JML/Salido is that Gamboa has the speed and the agility to get in and get the **** out. JML does not.

Gamboa would do what he needs on the inside and quickly step out of range. Thats Gambo's bread and butter. A outside boxer puncher.

JML is a puncher inside fighter.

JML should learn how to roll with the punches too. He is an inside fighter so that would be a good tool for him to add. I noticed he usually stands in there trying to be macho and not much head movement.

Is JML Mexican?? Usually Boricuas like to box more. JML is all about trading.
    I wanna see his papers!!!

Speed/Movement was the key in Salido-Gamboa
