If zab judah was to defeat JMM @ 140 Would that guarantee him as a future first ballot HOF'ER(if he isnt already)?? And does he have a chance against JMM??
I don't think so! So he beats 1 H.O.F. / ATG ? Who else has he beaten? Nobody! Zab is a figment of NYC's imagination and has been since he was an amateur. Zab's best work were between ages 15 -19! Game over.
its the other way around marquez beating judah would seal his legacy, especially if he would be able to fight and beat the bradley-khan winner, I think this is the right move for jmm go for 140.
In todays Hall of Fame of course. I like Barry Mcguigan and hate to point out the obvious but he achieved less than Judah. In what most people consider a Hall of Fame he probably woulden't make it. I mean JMM only fought above 135 once and despite him facing a defensive master he looked slow and sluggish. While I rate Marquez's performance against Mayweather as solid considering the circumstances he is all wrong for JMM. JMM is not quick enough to counter Judah. It would be debatable how good that win would be when looking at variables (JMM's age, weight and desire for huge fights etc). That as well as his other accomplishments (e.g. stopping Spinks, Mabuzu, unifying titles and attempting too at two weights, beating a undefeated underated Junior Witter). His flaws are well documented as a big underachiever who drowned once the tough got going. Should not be in the fall of fame IMO but probably will be regardless of what happends from now onwards.
What realistic 3 fight winning run would it take judah to get in the hall in your opinion? Id put him in after a jmm victory but I admit im very biased when it comes to judah as he has been my fav fighter for years
It would get him a place in the H.O.F, especially if he followed it up with a victory over someone like Bradley. ATG? no but if Norton can get into the hall of fame then......
What if judah beat jmm and then beat the khan/bradley winner? ( I personaly give him a shot against khan but not really against bradley)
Well, right now he's beaten Cory Spinks and...uh...um...uh...eh. ...Never going to be a first ballot man, I don't think. He only might make it in to the HOF. I don't believe he deserves to now or if he beats JMM, who has done quite literally no winning work above 135 and may very well be ripe for the pick at 135 right now by the likes of Guerrero or Rios...
That I agree with 100%! JMM doesn't need much else on that resume except a decision over Pac. And that really doesn't mater to me because I think JMM won both fights. So a win over Zab would be Apropos for JMM's legacy!
he isn't first ballot material. His legacy was marred by his bouts of questionable judgement, mental weakness, and achilles heel of shower doors. Which is a shame to say the least. That being said, I'm with the crowd that thinks JMM would benefit with a win more than Judah. 4 weight Mexican champ, very solid claim to a 3rd Pacquiao fight (which Bob Arum had said he should prove himself at JWW), and still successful at an increasing age.
