Interesting bounce back fight after a loss. I only saw Barrios against Gamboa and it seemed to me he resigned himself quickly to the fact that he was going to lose, yet he had the skills to go the distance. Probably how it will go against Caballero although a fired up Caballero will throw plenty of shots and try to get him out of there. Would look good to go one up on Gamboa, as that seems important in thr Featherweight division in particular.
I rate Barros pretty highly at the 126lbs class but Caballero is all wrong for him. You gotta get inside on Cab early, catch him good and often or he will either pick you apart with a gazillion jabs (Yordan) or if you don't have the punch to get his respect he'll jump all over you (Molitor). The Litzau fight is misleading as Caballero way forced to move up in weight to face a strong, hard hitting, very hungry guy who dragged Cab into a brawl and did not let him put distance behind his punches. It was a horrible move by the management, and Caballero likely underestimated Litzau, just everything went wrong. But here he has the chance to get a (bogus) world title in a comfortable weight-divsion vs. a boxer-puncher with limited power (Barros packs some punch but it's nowhere near Litzau's). It the most likely scenario all the ring IQ of Barros goes out of the window as he'll find himself at the end of Caballero's busy jab, and his target too far to counter. A 117-111ish scorecard sounds about realistic to me with the Argentinean having some moments, but ultimately being limited by length and output. Things could get heated and interesting is Cab decides to go all out because Barros' timing is pretty good, but I think he learned a valuable lesson recently and will not risk too much. Very solid fight, the winner produces yet another major player in the divison. The winner should get JuanMa.
