Andre Berto with his loss to Vic "the brick" Ortiz or JuanMa Lopez and his loss to Orlando Salido?

From a psychological standpoint it has to be Berto's. Why? Because in his mind, he lost to a fighter who quit a couple of fights ago. That can't sit well with him and will probably mess him up mentally (boxing wise).

Lopez' loss not so, simply for the fact that Salido has given some damn good fighters some good fights, ie, JMM and Gamboa. It's not like JML knew that he was fighting a cream puff.

Definitely Berto. All Berto had was his '0'. He has no fan base. Now HBO will begin to bail on him. JML is a star. He will continue to be a star, just like Cotto. Bold move rematching Salido, btw. I think he loses again. But it shows how much heart JML has.

I think bertos loss wont effect him that much. Victor ortiz really shined in thatfight and majority of boxing fans knew berto faught bums. Juanma was getting built up for the mega fight but that got derailed and unless juanma can get a dominating early tko victory in hes rematch i have to say juanma's loss hurt him more

Cotto without a doubt, everyone can see that he's not the same fighter anymore

JuanMa has PR behind him. Even though the way he fights isn't particular conducive to long careers he's exciting and he has a passionate fanbase behind him for the rest of his career.

A loss ain't a bad thing, every great fighter loses. It's WHO you fight and HOW you fight that matters.

    Pretty much.

Which is why James Kirkland's loss is the most career-crippling upset loss of the past two weeks.

JuanMa was being touted as the next big thing and unstoppable etc etc. He was in line for mega fights in his division. He showed heart in that fight and will bounce back.

Berto is in a fading division and hasn't faced a real threat until now... anyone who saw much else but a gatekeeper in him were pretty blind to begin with. His record isn't great even with the 0... He had promise, but not like he was the next big anything if you ask me.

Personally I'd like to see both of them bounce back. Soon as someone loses an 0 these days a bunch of idiots on this forum start painting their entire career with broad sweeping statements like 'exposed' etc. It's ****ing juvenile. They both lost in a war and it's boxing, someone has to lose (most of the time)...
