Do any of you believe that he would have done enough to win the fight if it was not stopped? I know some fans always display belief in their guy. I'm not saying he would have or wouldn't have. Anything can happen, but who thinks he would have won?
I don't think he would have won. Salido was finishing up strong. JML started the round well, but as soon as he got tagged his legs would get really mushy. Remember, there were still four more rounds to go+he was getting hit with some flush shots. That = a highlight reel KO for Salido.
no, he was on the to a Lost on the cards as well however jml has proved many times he can take alotta punches and get back up to ko his opponent.
Im Rican and a fan, they should have given him a few more seconds but the ref was looking out 4 him. Anything can happen but there was no snap in his punches, he was pretty much out of there. Hopefully he can rebound from this
He lost, the stoppage was a good call. Its only hes first loss as a young fighte the last thing he needed was to keep fighting till he got really hurt an instead of hurting hes 0 he could have killed hes career. Take ur losses learn from them and cone back twice as good. Id like to.see a rematch
I think he was gonna lose anyway, but the stoppage was bad. Juanma has shown he can clear the cobwebs after being hurt. He needs to fix some fundamentals before his next fight.
He havent shown anything that night that would make him win. He lacks defense, timing and counterpunching!
It's not just his defence, he isn't using his boxing ability..he has fallen in love with his power. instead of boxing and letting the ko come he's just swinging for the fences and leaving himself wide open to be countered with big shots..he's the superior boxer to Salido and imo could've outboxed him fairly easily.
No he was totally done. JuanMa needs a different trainer that can work on his speed and stamina. Freddie Roach comes to mind. JuanMa's corner is abysmal.
