joe calzaghes pitter patter style was his amateur style and it translated well into the pro ranks the same with nazeem hamed his style was the same in the amateurs thats not to say that it translates most of the time. craig mcewans amateur style was more suited to the pros as is steven simmons style (just turned pro f/warren)

Just imagine Khan taking the Shot Ortiz took in the 6th when he went down and got up and survived, can you imagine KHAN recieving the same shot? KHAN would be like hatton was in the canvas against Pac if he gets hit like that and YES he is very hittable, he would be caught by Ortiz or Berto, both knock him out...

 

The only reason he looked slightly bad against Lamont Peterson was because he was stupid enough to become over confident. He thought he had the fight won and did not continue pressuring like he had before.

Khan is faster and the better oustide boxer, who jabs and runs, but if a slower Maidana was able to catch up to him and hurt him, Ortiz who is faster and has better accuracy will spark that lacking jaw.:good

 

how were the rules different? when naz fought in the amateurs

the difference ive noticed as a boxer was the change in rounds to 3x3mins instead of the older 3 or 4x 2min rounds.

Before Ortiz even lost to Maidana, I believed he would be a really tough matchup for Khan. The guy's a beast when his confidence his sky-high, and if Khan doesn't get his respect, he could be in trouble.

Also, Ortiz coming to the ring as a middleweight could play a factor.

 

was the ortiz vs berto fight catchweight? ortiz did look big and strong vs berto but i think he would struggle against even the bigger super weltewrweights(junior middleweights) what do you think?
