Another thing to point out: Pacquiao isn't a very good inside fighter. Hatton is better in close. Pacquiao likes room to punch.

Hatton via early to mid rounds knockout. I can't see how Pacman could hit harder than Tszyu, and Hatton mauled Kostya pretty bad, breaking his jaw at that. If Velazquez could rough up Manny in the early rounds Hatton would do it thrice as worse. At junior welter things would seem bigger in Pac's perspective, every punch he gets will seem to be heavier and with much more bad intentions and we aren't talking about the loaded shots yet. There's a legitimate reason why people are having second thoughts about Pac taking on Juan Diaz at 135, and this is 140lbs we're talking about.

Pac is a Multi-weight Champ & he dominates in each class. Hatton can't even get out of his weight Class & win. Pac hasn't shown a significant decrease in speed as he moved up in weight while his Power contineously moving up with him.

Pac is an experienced veteran already, He already experienced fighter like Hatton. Hatton also experienced a Lefty(Collazo) & Quick foot & Long arms(PBF) but there shows his weaknesses.

In fairness to Pacman, why is he always pitted against the bigger guys? I have never seen a thread pitting Pacman against the smaller divisions.

yes that's right, i don't think that there's anybody campaigning in the lower weight classes who could beat pac. at 135 i think Juan Diaz has a chance but it'll be a tossup. Pac by late KO or BB by UD..

Because Pac is too much for the current best of 126 & 130 pounder. And you guys here forget to acknowledge that.

If Pac came all the way up to 147, he would have less power than Floyd. Floyd is a stronger puncher than Pac. Hatton wins this @ 140 by TKO :yep

No matter what bruh . . . the natural law will always prevail.

Pac didn't showed significant decrease in speed when he moved up in weight . . . yeah . . . but up to what weight can he move up? All fighters will always be bounded by physical limitations.

It doesn't mean that since he made it up to 130 succesfully doesn't mean he can go all the way to 135 or 140 and still be very competitive. Especially now that he is already 29 years old. :D

Pac would struggle @ 135. Same for 140 he would struggle worst.

i agree i think he'll have a world of touble at 140. 135 im not sure though. I think he should at least test the waters at 135 but I honestly think if he comes well-prepared only JD stands a chance.

Did the 130 lbs Pac look bloated at 144 lbs whenever he went up in the ring??? Floyd rehydrates only to 136 when he was fighting at 130. Pac used to rehydrates to 136 when was at 122. A 140 pounder Pac would be rehyrating to about 147-150 lbs., same as Floyds. The same Floyd who KO Hatton.

Hatton vs Pac will be a year away, Pac will fight at 135 first, his Body mass will be more comportable with the Higher weight. He can just concentrate on his technique without Dieting. We know how Pac works out in training, those extra Protein he's going to intake will translate to more Power. And I can't wait to see how Powerful that 140 pounder Pac would be.

pac already comes in @144 during fights. that means he can make the transition to 135 smoothly. i think juan diaz came in @142 for his most recent fight and he wins via punch accumulation rather than power.

@140 though, it's a stretch for pac even if he's a little taller and has a longer reach than hatton. hatton will probably outweigh him by 8-10 pounds during the fight and that will be too much.

hatton was asked if he's interested in fighting pac and he did say that he is open to the idea. this mega-fight is more realistic than a pac-dlh or pac-pbf though. the money will surely be there for such a fight.

Hatton via brutal domination + stoppage.

The Hitman is getting massively underrated after his loss to PBF...
