Seeing as how Im friends with a good few of ye on facebook has anyone else been getting messages from people claiming to be Nigerian amateur champions wanting help to get a visa over here? Presume theyre getting my name off one of the boxing groups im jined on there. Heres one of the messages

Obviously Im not replying. Anything coming out of Nigeria is a scam imo. Just wondering if anyone else is getting them

It wouldnt be too easy to get €50 quid off them id say its possible to get him to do do some stupid **** tho say you need a pic of him in his boxing attire for his licience or something see if he actualy goes out and gets Gloves etc.

I wouldn't even reply lads. I'm all for fun and games but even in giving a responce, you could be unwittingly revealing some sort of information. Just saying, it's up to you.

 

I made an alternative e-mail address with the sole purpose of pissing this guy off. Waiting for a reply, riveting stuff.

I got the exact same message a few months back tommy. Never replied tho. Any email that reads " hi, I'm from Nigeria" should be deleted before you read any further, because it obviously a scam. On a separate note, my da said he read in the Belfast telegraph something about mccloskey fighting in July, in Belfast at an open air show. Any chance this could be on the 12th July at the "field"? Our southern friends may not know what the "field" is, but we could always have Ian Paisley as MC
