:think Ill just say that this person has worked with Don King and various other well known promoters.. One of the well connected people in boxing behind the scenes.

victor had the perfect game plan, he followed the collazo blueprint to a T.berto came in **** shape, he did not fight for over a year and when he did it went 1rd.not only that but he never fought a good fighter since collazo.then at the end of the day they just under estimated victor as a fighter and at ww but hell who didn't.as far as a plan b berto was suppose to box but his legs were gone after 1st 2nd or 3rd rd so he had no choice but to do what he did and thats fight on heart and his own determination, he just did not have the gas victor had.berto got ****ed up good, he should bounce back from this i think.cant wait for a rematch.

Really he only has one legit loss... The other one was Dq in the 1st round, a techinichal draw, and his controversial draw which most thought he won. His record should read 32-1-0-22 kos not 29-2-2.

Another Slugfest, IMO Berto has no choice but to slug with Ortiz.
(Andre don't have that other level, Box... Besides he is the smaller man length wise)

Best bet would be for Berto to come out guns blazing and try to catch Ortiz sleeping. I smell trilogy.

Or maybe Vic just finishes what he started & ends this early.
Same prediction as last time for me, I said it wouldn't see the cards.
(Yeah I was wrong, But this time I wont be... :!: )

:good Exactly, and if he fought Cambell and Peterson like he did Maidana he would have pulled out a ko... If Ortiz takes the right game plan into fights, no one beats him except the elites Mayweather and Pac.

Unless Berto has a contractual clause for an immediate rematch this one ought to be put on hold until early next year. That was a rough freaking fight. I'd like to see both guys take some time to rest and heal, and then fight an easy tune-up before meeting again.

yeah good point, berto really raised his stock by getting ktfo............NOT!!!!!! do u understand the point of boxing is to win. He was undefeated, this fight exposed him and lowered his stock.
Perviously, there was outrage that pac was ducking berto to fight ssm, now it is obviously pac would destroy berto.

As far as $$$ wise this is the best fight for them... Every one else is tied up.. And so far this is FOTY. Berto showed alot of heart and is stil showin it by wanting the rematch right away.

This fight will happen but I think both guys get a "stay busy" fight in between. There is no re-match clause however. Berto wins the second fight on points in a less attractive but still explosive slugfest, these guys are perfect for each other, I see a trilogy here, neither to me is a next tier guy, but they can make some really fan friendly fights and make some money together, and maybe even become friends along the way like Ward-Gatti. This is good for both of them in my opinion.

If Berto improves from now to October and beats Ortiz I will give him credit. That is guaranteed. But he is not beating Ortiz, I guarantee you that.

ortiz and his team are right exactly where they wanted to be so bad, I hope the garcias put their beef aside and start training vic on setting up shots and raise his ring iq, he knows berto s weakness and knows he can knock him down and hurt him, imo his going to finnish him in the early rounds, and while berto can improve on his legs it doesn't take away he has not faced decent competition giving vic the edge
