Cotto vs. Margarito rematch

It is necesary, miguel needs to redeem himself. Plus this fight would have a lot of people watching it makes sense business wise and from cotto's point of view. Margarito must be laughing cause he gets big fights after getting caught cheating.
I think if cotto fights smart and clinches when he has too he can win a decision. It will be a good fight but if he loses he is done.
If cotto beats him he can fight guys like cintron(top rank,rican,154),pac rematch or we could see him with guys like alvarez,williams or he might even go for a 160 shot vs martinez or chavez jr. This is a very important fight.

 

Neither guy is what they were 3 years ago, Margarito has slowed down a lot. The last good fights he had that were very impressive were Cintron then Cotto. I'm not sure he has enough left to do that again. Cotto could win this, even if he doesn't its a 6 million dollar payday and he could still get a few more big enough money making fights after to retire wealthy. Margaritos thing is that he used to be able to pick off shots really good, he had really good defense and he threw back, but he's not that guy anymore as far as I have seen. He's an old 34, 19 years in the ring can do that to you. I won't pay for this fight again on PPV, but its a legit fight and I'm sure it will have its moments and lots of people will watch it. Could be the end of the line for Margarito who in my opinion should retire after taking so much punishment over a long career.

 

dude people like you get under my skin. This fight is most def neccesary and heck yeah ill pay to see it. In the first fight cotto definately dominated 8 rounds out of 11 and only in the tenth round marg started putting up the pressure cotto schooled marg and was definately the better boxer but margs chin and pressure was the difference. I think with Stewart cotto has learned to be patient and that will be his key to victory plus with all the evidence presented i think marg use plaster against cotto he cheat so cotto needs revenge

 

it is the ultimate redemption fight for cotto to serve justice to margocheato.
i hope it is a brutal beating as cement gloves deserves.

 

@pax: yes sir i definately agree and to me cotto finally has the patience necessary because he always had the skills but he needs to be patiuent and box not just follow margarito trying to nock his head in. He also needs to sit on his punches people talk that oh cotto hit marhg with everything he just smiled but honestly cotto never sat on his punches sitting on your punches allows you to use all the power you poses thats what foreman's trainer told foreman before he faught cotto and it is what emanuel stewart has told cotto. Lastly Cotto needs to go to the body with margs monster chin you cant expect to just hit the face and win cotto needs to do what had made him a great fighter he used to be ranked #3 p4p he was #1 in ring magazine before the marg loss(i say this to all the cotto haters) cotto was great not over rated or good but great he beat the future hall of famer shane mosley and mayweather never wanted to fight cotto im tired of the haters yes cotto has flaws but yet again so does pacman and mayweather. The fact of the matter is that a key ingredient for Cotto to win is his relentless body attack he always hit the body but when he faught margarito he did not hit the body and since than the body work has almost disapeared. Cotto has the skills to beat marg he just has to implement them and i know stewart will make sure he does.

 

It isn't necessary at all. It is just Bob Arum making money, instead of putting Cotto in a fight against a top contender.

 

I cant wait to see this rematch.

i dont care if cotto or margo are ****, its doesn't matter, this rematch has to happen, theres is too much history behind it, (mex vs rico. margo handwraps, cotto 1st defeat, epic 1st match, ect ect)
