    ok,so rios needs to fill out by 6 lbs or so,but a matchup between these two punchers would guarantee fireworks,and the judges scorecards an irrelevance.who's your money on...?
    btw,i fancy 'vicious' inside 5 rounds...

    Rios is overrated and getting too much face time in mags and in the ratings... He'll do okay if he sticks to LW.

    He's already soft at the weight he's at. Ortiz is a ****ing monster in comparison. The guy weighed in the upper 160's in the ring... What does Rios weigh in the ring?

    He doesn't have the skills or the size to compete with Ortiz. He'd get ****ed up.

    i agree.i don't think rios could live with the pressure ortiz brings.however,i've heard rios has been badmouthing ortiz every opportunity,so i guess he fancies his chances.big mistake if you ask me...

    i think Rios-Maidana or Rios-Marquez would be a much more competitive bout
    Rios-Maidana would be a pick'em fight while I think Rios's youth might just get him through Marquez
    Ortiz has too much mass on Rios

    I think they were roommates and had to have sparred before, but this is when they were closer in size, I imagine...

    Rios would be bringing the pressure in this one, and he'd get outboxed and hurt when Ortiz did decide to mix it up...

    Rios is a **** talker and a street fighter. I guarantee Ortiz will be in big fights and in the rankings for alot longer than Rios will...

    Ortiz is never going south of 147 and would kill Rios at that weight.
    It's a match we won't see anyway, at least until one of them leaves their current promoter.

    I'm fan of both but I'm not sure that the fight will ever happen. Rios is a huge LW and I think that the fight was possible at 140. Now the problem is that by the time Rios reaches WW Ortiz will probably move to JMW. At the same time I expect that they will do good in the future so the demand for this fight will only increase

    Don't underestimate Rios so much. He is a pressure fighter with good jab and iron chin and will. He'll give anyone a tough fight.

    rios is much more skilled than you guys give him credit for, i believe vic is too big and too strong and would beat him but rios is much more polished than margo, he actually jabs his way in, moves his head and throws shorter combination.

    in the past he has also outboxed opponents.


    btw Acosta is a better fighter than bertoe.
