    Amir Khan Cracks Ring Ratings
British boxing hot-shot Amir Khan has broken into the prestigious Ring Magazine's latest lightweight ratings. The Commonwealth Lightweight king, already ranked at #6 in the WBO and #9 by the WBC, destroyed former Champion Graham Earl earlier this month in a stunning 72 seconds to earn his #8 position in the Bible of Boxing..

Khan, 21, is one place in front of Zahir Raheem, who holds a win over Mexican great Erik Morales, and is just below potential opponent Yuri Romanov the European Champion.

At #6 is Australian warrior Michael Katsidis, the Interim WBO World Champion, who defeated Earl in an all-out war at the beginning of the year and Ring Champion is Joel Casamayor.

Im sorry but this is ****ing ridiculous, he may very well be able to beat Zahir, but until this is proven, there is no way he should even be in the top 10. Disgraceful. Fighters have been fighting for years, working there asses off to break the ten, he comes along, beats that chump Earl, has a very powerful promoter in Warren end hence breaks the top 10.

    :patsch :patsch :patsch

youre being far too harsh, khan's first 10 opponents were bums but his last few have been WAY better than most prospects face... if khan is still fighting them 10 fights down the line then i'll agree with you, but hold off that assessment

It was 3 rounds because it was an amateur fight which is custom.

I hope Khan does leave Warren, Warren is terrible for British boxing and has stagnated so many bright careers with his ridiculous protecting.

But the same thing could be said about katsidis, who has he beat to get to number 6. It took him 6 rounds to beat earl and was also knocked down, yet after the fight everyone was talking about him fighting some of the best fighters in the division.

that's a good point - earl couldn't dance with khan for 2 minutes, yet earl v katsidis was very competative
