I agree Floyd's size and his reach will disrupt Pacquiao. I personally think it will be like Floyd's fight with Hatton. Pacquiao, like Hatton, will have Floyd fighting in a faster pace because of footwork until Floyd figures him out and adjusts.

Same here! I thought Floyd looked bigger than Mosley and sharper. Mayweather's power is very underrated. He's not a one punch KO artist and he prefers not to expel his energy going for the knockout, but his punches accumulate and wear his opponent down over time.

With a single shot, no. With an accumulation, he can hurt anyone. I dont think he will land enough though.

I truly believe Floyd will be very aggressive against Pacman, and that this si the way to beat him.

I mean effective aggression. Pac is no great inside fighter, but Floyd knows all the little tricks to be able to be effective inside. I expect Floyd to, at some point, close the gap against Pac.

Pac needs to come forward with velocity to hurt with his punches. Floyd will stay on top of Manny, blunt most of his power, take light punches on his arms and elbows all night, and bang Pac to the body. In other words, smother Pac without really taking anything clean in return.

It has nothing to due with bravado. It simply is the best way for him to fight, against this particular style in Pac.

pacquiao has continually proven that size ain't ****.

even roger mayweather agrees with him.

    It all depends on style.

I think it'll be tough for Pacquiao to close the gap on a bigger fighter who will be fighting on the backfoot. When a bigger fighter comes at you and gets in your punching range his size advantage is partially reduced. But when the bigger fighter keeps his distance and forces you to get inside it's harder cause he has that extra power to keep you off him and keep you honest that he wouldn't have if he wasn't so much bigger.

Pac will have to be in beast mode for this fight and also implement a smart strategy for getting in at angles

You know what I notice whenever I watch your favorite boxer Floyd fight? He's one dirty AZZ fighter.

I think the fight will play out similar to what you're talking about.

Floyd's on the backfoot agitating emmanuel with his jab and superior arm length. Check hook every now and then to switch it up.

emmanuel will attempt to enter his optimal distance with that lunging or charging left. $ steps out of range and comes crashing down on emmanuel with a counter right. The right will be his entry way into the pocket.

Floyd does his work on the inside and clinches. The Mexican Gangsters Erik Morales and Juan Marquez also whooped emmanuel's AZZ on the inside.

    ref resets them.

    Rinse n repeat.

Nice post. I expect Floyd to actually come to Pac, but to do so very intelligently.

But he could be effective against Pac on the backfoot as well....

Floyd wasn't bigger than Mosley. Physically stronger? Yes. His size wont matter much. His defense, timing, and movement will matter more. If he uses his jab, keeps enough distance, roll/block punches, and counter he will be fine.

How will Floyd be a middleweight when they fight? Floyd rarely comes in over 150lbs.

Sure, Floyd is a bit bigger, he's also a bit faster point-to-point. And thats what will make the difference, not his weight, he'll use angles and speed in this fight.

Exactly. Floyd will elbow him to death on the inside.

The biggest advantage to that, is the blunting of Pac's power. If Pac can't get off as much as he is used to, this will spell defeat.

And before tiring out, Hatton was getting his **** pushed in by Floyd.

It's a complete myth that Hatton had any success, he wasn't landing anything on Floyd.
