Ali vs Frazier III was a one sided fight, no where near as exciting as it is made up to be. Fenech destroys Pacquiao by brutal KO at super bantam and featherweight. Weaver vs Coetzee is the greatest HW title fight ever. Lennox Lewis is not a top 10 heavyweight let alone top 15. British MW Tony Sibson knocks out Hearns at middleweight
You were doing well up until that one. I doubt you will find 15 heavyweights with a better resume at the weight than Lennox. And in most rankings, you're more likely to find him in the top 5, than outside the top 15.
Actually i dont think theres one single guy that can say hes the best.. As there is always a style that can beat you and so many others with great resumes, i just think SRR is the consensus so most just go with it.... BUt SRR as a welterweight went years and a super high number of fights without losing and at the sam time beating atg competition. I do think hes a little overrated as a MW though.. Henry Armstrong also has a good claim to number 1.... IF Duran wouldnt have been somewhat inconsistant late in his career (after moving up) he would have a strong claim.
Too each his own, but a couple of your opinions were waaaaay out there... SIbson little stubby ass would have been made for Tommy and he would have been brutalized, i remember when he got sparked by a poor mans Hearns (Don Lee). Punchers chance but i think he would be finished before he ever got the chance. Weaver-COetzee:huh Ok to each his own.. Good fight though. I would lean towards Pac over Fenech, but wouldnt be suprised at all if Fenech took this.. Hes underrrated and IMO the best Aussie ever. He was a beast in his prime. I thik Lewis is a overrated too. But i have him 9 on my Hw list.
Ike Quartey was one of the most frequently robbed fighters in modern boxing history. Cotto should have been dq'd when he fought against Judah. JCC jr is the most protected fighter in recent memory Canelo Aleverez is a decent prospect but will be exposed in the next 12 months. Say what you will but Oscar had one of the best chins in the welterweight division in his day.
SRR in his prime was the best no doubt. I can't over look his welterweight run. His middle weight run is overrated like you said though, but he's still top 5 middleweight of all time
Tyson would have lost against Tucker if it wasn't for Tucker's hand injury in the 4th round. Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn are hugely overrated - Chris Eubank unbelievably so. Both Klitschko's would be very competitive in any era and are merely victims of their times. Sonny Liston is perhaps a little overrated.
