. . . got me thinking, why don't sky or showtime run with a similar series leading up to the big events. Bring in a lot more casual fans and also a lot of attention in the build up will only increase numbers. Sometimes big domestic fights can go by without as much as an advert in the weeks leading up to the fight. Shame.
FC360 is showtimes. Sky do something called 'behind the ropes'. I'm not sure if it was a one off though.
Does anyone know where I can find the episodes because I could only find the first episode on YouTube??
It only went to primetime last minute so how many episodes would it have had?, is it usually just a one episode thing a few days before the fight?. The general lay out of 24/7 is like 4 weekly episodes leading right up to fight night were as fight camp is a lot less may be 2 or 3 shows spread out over 8 weeks. I prefer the 2/7 overall especially how they make people think the massive underdog has a chance like they did with Marquez v Mayweather.
Yeah the Behind The Ropes series is usually one episode I think and then they do a final countdown show which is like studio interviews from pundits IIRC.
I consider myself an above average boxing fan Im certainly not a casual and I didnt know of these, so I'm pretty sure no casuals would have known. Shame really I can scroll through sky sports any time day or night and almost guarantee Football will be on yet boxing is so scarce these days.
