I would say Roy Jones also.. he could have retired after the first Tarver match with only that 1 DQ loss. Every time I see the Tarver II knockout I get really pissed off and wish that he never fought again. It hurt his legacy even though it really shouldn't have.

I also wish Pernell Whitaker retired after "losing" to DLH. He could have been undefeated all the way up to the Trinidad loss if he never lost those gift decisions.

Well at the time I disliked Jones and the hype around him, I felt he handpicked opponents and past the Toney fight never looked interested in fighting the true best, I felt he only looked godly because he fought average fighters such as Kelly and the part time policeman. I also felt he coasted through alot of fights and could have been ALOT more exciting. Why didn't he fight everyone like he fought Griffin the 2nd time?

My dislike for him kind of grew into fully fledged hate and I officially became a 'hater':)yep) I was blinded by 'the hate' and would always attack RJJ for the littlest of reasons.

After seeing him get KO'd and getting beaten up I guess I warmed to him and endeared to him, it made me look back at his career and see the good in it.
Watching a fighter I disliked soo much get KO'd washed my hate away, it satisfied me to see it and with that I had new found respect and awe for his skills and accomplishments in the past.

He deserved to go undefeated because of his godly skills that I seriously don't think we will ever see in boxing again, or at least not in my lifetime. He had ridiculous speed and insane 1 punch power. He would have been the best at any sport he chose because he was so athletically gifted.

He was soo naturally talented, so much more than anyone I've ever seen that its a bit sad that he had to lose to two people so inferior to a prime version of himself.
For his sheer dominance over everyone for 15+ years and his godly skills he really did deserve to stay undefeated.*

*Which is funny, because if he had retired undeafted I would have hated him even more! :D
