Andre Dirrell vs Kelly Pavlik

Pavlik has trouble with guys who move fast and move a lot. Dirrell has trouble with heavy handed guys who exert constant pressure. It's a very interesting match-up.

 

I can see Dirrell winning a UD. In a fight were Pavlik never really gets hurt and Dirrell gets criticized for too much holding and running,

 

Dirrell wud clearly outbox pavlik to a ud

 

But Dirrell has brain damage... doesn't he?

 

Dirrell would box circles around Pavlik and catch him with so many shots that he doesn't see. Dirrell by wide UD or towel stoppage. If they happened to fight I would do a lifetime ban bet with anyone.

 

Dirrell is too fragile or soft to win this fight. He would have to dig very deep to beat Pavlik, I don't see it happening. This fight never happens.

 

As soon as Pavlik gets hit with a quick jab followed by a straight left, right hook combo and goes to throw back and sees that Dirrell is out of there, Pavlik is going to wish he had a another drink or some ****. Bad style match up for Pavlik.

 

Pavlik by easy KO. He was embarrassed by two fighters with nowhere near the power of Pavlik.

 

i like dirrell in this for style and athleticism. hes able to keep distance and his enthusiastic boxing ability is likely the real reason abraham became damaged goods.

 

Dirrel won it but lets stop this BS myth about that Fight. After all Dirrel was the one who got dropped at the end of the Fight and did melt down under the pressure limited AA was giving him. AA put the Dirrel on his bike, if anyone ruined him it was Froch.

 

Dirrell is too slick for The Ghost

 

Dirrell by clear decision. Would be a good fight though, I'd like to see it.

 

:dealThat's similar to what I said previously! Dirrell lacks heart and eventually would succumb to Pavlik's pressure. Yes Pavlik has cinderblocks for feet but the guy has heart and big power. He won a few rounds against the much faster Martinez too. Yes Pavlik lost to the best boxer-types he faced BUT both times he came to fight and people overlook these things: 1) Dirrell is NOT a smart fighter and lets his opponents dictate the pace unlike Martinez & Hopkins who are masters of controlling distance and the pace of a fight 2) Dirrell FOLDS, unlike Hopkins & Martinez who never folded in their primes and the only time Martinez succumbed to pressure was to Marg who we know has a checkered history(handwraps). Dirrell has speed, decent power, and good combinations but he will be nothing more than a wasted talent.
