Intersting clips. Looks like ATG Ali is doing precisely what they accuse Wlad of. That gives some perspective.

    Thx.

Its the same thing every generation. I remember when Holyfield was a boring bum keeping Tyson's belt warm.

Of course they do. Ali was heavily criticized for the Bonavena fight back in the day. Just people forget about the **** fights over time and tend to be more benevolent when looking back at their heroes reigns.

It's funny you've been hearing about how no one can beat them for years... that seems like they've raised the bar.

Actually the Rocky series were inspired by the fight between Ali and Chuck Wepner. Stallone was in the audience when Wepner knocked Ali down. Ali went on to KO him though, something that had never been done before that. By the way, Bonavena was KOed by Ali this fight too, something that you failed to mention. Did Wladimir KO Ibragamov? Exactly, no, he stank up the joint and got ran out of town and off the HBO network.

And I read one guy on here talk about perspective? I'll give you a little perspective. Jack Johnson's fights caused race riots throughout the country. Joe Louis fights caused blacks and whites to actually get along and come together through depression years. Ali's fights were the biggest events in any sport in the world. Tyson fights are STILL being talked about today. And Wladimir Klitschko's fights ARENT EVEN SHOW FOR FREE ON HBO. Now theres a little perspective for you. And before you go saying it is because he is foreign, remember this, Lewis was from England and Canada and his fights were shown all of the time.

If Lennox was boxing today (and the K brothers didn't exist) his fights wouldn't be shown on HBO. There are no interesting opponents to put him in the ring with in the US.

Back in the late 90s they had guys like Golotha, Holyfield, Briggs (who beat an ancient Foreman) or US hype-jobs like Grant. Today there's absolutely noone in the US that would generate any interest as an opponent for Lewis. You think anyone in the US would watch Lennox vs. non-marketable guys like Thompson, Chambers, Sosnowski or Solis? :deal

He'd box in the UK just like Haye does today.

He will HOLD, HOLD, HOLD at that point. Then he will start jabbing all over again. He does hold at lot and is scared to death to actually "fight" through some real adversity.

The problem is, the division is so weak that almost none of the opponents out there have the skills, dedication between fights, or conditioning needed to get to that chin. Then you have Vitali (the better brother) coming out of retirement to thin out the already weak herd of pretenders -- this all makes Wald look unbeatable. His brother has taken care of a LOTof the opposition for him, including cleaning up the mess every time Wlad gets knocked out by a bum.

Look at Wald's record. The guys he beat that were "undefeated" were only unbeaten due to being green and having never fought anyone before facing him. Wlad is moderately skilled for a big man, but he uses his size as well as the best of them against the smaller opposition he's faced. Wlad either fights a big, sloooow guy with no power (Thompson, Austin), or a smaller guy with no chance (Byrd 2x, Brock, Chambers, Ibragimov).

Haye is no exception. He will be frozen out due to all the jabbing, holding, and running by Wlad. Haye was already exposed by a Super Middleweight, for ****s sakes. Wlad should be able to KO this dude within 4 in that mismatch. Let's just hope Wlad shows up to "fight" and not to look like a ponderous chicken**** on July 3. Let's see Pre-Steward Wlad one more time. :bbb

Holyfield was never as boring as the Klits. In fact, his career is the very opposite of the Klits.
Where the Klits strongest advantage is their sheer size, Holyfield's largest disadvantage was his smallness.
Had Holyfield been Bowe's size, he's slap both Klits around the ring like they were Henry Cooper. :yep

This post here is full of truth. Very clever and careful matchmaking is done on the part of the Klitschkos. They also tag team the division to further compound this advantage. Haye is only an addition to the formula.

In actuality, Haye is only a Cruiserweight belt holder (who never unified that division) coming up to help get Wlad some publicity by selling this fight as much more than what it is. Even Wlad nuthuggers know Haye is in over his head, but after Wlad wins, they'll be the first to preach about the win making him an ATG top 10. Bull****.

Credit to Haye for selling the fight. He has the people who want to see Wlad lose interested, as well as the people who worship Wlad's exploitation of a weak division interested to see him beat another overmatched opponent. And yet, finally, Wladimir Klitschko is able to get back on HBO as a result of David Haye.:lol::lol::lol::rofl

One thing is for sure, this is just a carefully manufactured "legacy fight" when in reality it's just another predictable Klitschko fight in Germany. I just hope to see a good fight. That is all. I want to see the bigger, more skilled, and experienced heavyweight go out there and destroy his victim in a completely emphatic performance. That's what any true ATG would do to David Haye. Let's hope Wlad starts to get this.

    :huh

    NOPE.

Haye and Adamek aren't even true heavyweights. They have both had carefully steered HW careers toward retirement paydays.

Weight classes exist in boxing for a reason. The Klitschkos know how to use their SuperHeavyweight size advantage over smaller guys. Credit to them for that, but these aren't super fights. They are super mismatches.

The reality is, people just want to see the Klitschkos tested. It's too bad that there's no HW athletes out there who possess the tools to give these two as much punishment as they will receive. No one out there can make them "fight". All we get are heavy bag sessions.

In a few yrs, I pick Robert Helenius to give either brother one helluva fight. He is moving along very well so far.
