Manny was cordial with Clottey and merciful with Marg - will he be savage vs Sugar??

    Shane Mosley has a chin of iron, so if Pacquiao wants to get the stoppage here he's really going to have to go for it, either to stop Sugar by accumulation, or force Nazim or the referee to save him.

    We saw Congressman Pacquiao convey cordial relations with the disgracefully negative Joshua "Survival Mode" Clottey, and then we saw him mercifully refrain from going for the KO in the last round against a horribly beaten and bloodied Antonio Margarito.

    Shane Mosley is a guy liked and respected across the board, and he and Pacman have not had any verbal disputes or tension in the build-up to the fight.

    Will Pac be happy to show his superiority in the fight once more, or is he going to go back to the Pac of the Hatton and Cotto fights, and go for the jugular???

    PS: I think he will go for the stoppage, and I think he'll get it... much earlier than people anticipate. I can see Nazim climbing up on the apron in the 4th round to rescue an already fatigued and beaten-up Sugar Shane. I don't think a 39 year old man, even an active one like Shane, is ready for the whirlwind of pace and precision that's going to engulf him next week.

    I look forward to reading alternative p-o-v's though. For what it's worth, I think the first two or three rounds could be the best rounds of the year. Before Shane gets worn down, I think he can dent Pacquiao in a way no-one has since the Pacman was a stringy teenager. :good

    If Pac doesn't get it early, I can see him do the same he did against Margo and that's to carry the fight a bit and make it try and make it seem competitive.

    But i have a feeling Pacquiao will get an early TKO before round 6

    No, he needs to take mosley out if he can, mosley has dangerous power, its not worth the risk, just force the stoppage like vs cotto.

    :good I have him knocking him out in the 4th as well, its gonna be war the first couple of rounds, cuz both of them are gonna be looking for the KO. Pac is just simply faster and better, hell get it in the fourth after 4 rounds of all out war.:deal

    Pac said boxing is not about killing people. He doesn't need to knock out his opponent to win. He shows mercy to his opponent by carrying them to the last round if need be.

    He wasn't merciful on Marg you numnuts. He just couldn't KO Margarito. If he could then he would've done it in the first 10 rounds, but he couldn't so he went easy on him on the 11-12th round because what is the point.

    Pacman the destroyer is there, no doubt about it, but he will be fighting alot smarter, which is a good thing when a smaller man takes on a bigger man as more risk is involved. Thats Roach taking a page out of Durans book and thats pretty impressive. Its more realistic preparing a naturally smaller fighter to be able to beat a larger fighter throughout 12 rounds because there is a bigger possibility the larger fighter will handle the power much better. Samething Floyd is doing. I dont think Pacman will take as many risks as in the past.

    Pac didnt take it easy on margarito.. Tony was just huge compared to pac and tony is just a tough MF! Pac didnt take it easy on clottey either, clottey is just defensive minded!

    Here's what really happened in those fights. Clottey was there to survive, even if it meant going on a shell. Even Klit wouldnt have taken out that version of Clottey.

    In the Marg fight, Pac was undertrained. He WAS and GOT hurt. I believe that "looking to the ref" act of his was just an act. I also believe that he didnt have the firepower THEN to KO Margarito. Now however, I think he has the offensive ability to KO both Margarito and Mosley. :deal
