I just can't see Haye Vlad being any different

Haye might bet on a KO loss.

 

Mine too, brother K. Mine too. I can see this going many ways though. They could get into it quick and one guy get bombed out early. It could be a clinch on the inside from Wlad/Valuevian outside performance from Haye that turns out really awful to watch.

It could even follow the same line as Pascal/Dawson. A fast spurt fighter with less than stellar stamina taking the wherewithal away from the taller, superior technician, but still being very vulnerable on both sides. Or Wlad never letting Haye get past the jab to land and getting softened up to a late kayo. Two chinny bangers, I don't see how someone can only see one outcome in this fight, myself. I think anything could happen. That's why I have a massive no homo erection months in advance.

I can see haye going down first round from a pissed off wlad.

 

Two things, Haye don't hit anywhere near as good as Sanders, Haye has no punch durability. Wlad is seriously going to hammer Haye.

 

Thats three things you muppet and none are relevant.

 

Two actually, Haye's power is overated against people who fight back, Haye's got no durability. It's a prediction that Wlad will hammer him.

 

Haye is certainly a worthy opponent to Wlad. And he has an interesting offensive arsenal. He has more than a punchers chance.

Stil, given Hayes somewhat poor defense, questionable chin and stamina I´d rate Wlad as the clear favorite.

Shall be interesting to watch the match.

 

The trouble with that is Haye doesn't know what round Dr. Steelhammer will adminster the anesthesia...

 

I think it's hard to envisage an outcome on this fight.

I've said before that I think the best way for Haye to win, is to stay outside and keep moving. the reason being that Wlad doesn't throw right hands against moving opponents. He waits until they are static and throws straight power punches but doesn't risk it, if the opponent is moving. If that's the case, all Haye has to worry about is the jab. He would just have to wait for his opponents and leap in, as he can do because of his athleticism, and throw flurries.

However, it really depends on the mentality of both fighters. Will Haye counter or will he fight like he did against the last chinny puncher he fought, Enzo? Will Wlad be aggressive and stalk Haye, like against Austin, or will he be patient like against Chambers? Will Haye be active or inactive?

There's a lot of questions attached to the fight, which is what makes it hard to pick a decisive outcome. Another reason it's hard to pick an outcome is because neither fighter can take the others power and if Wlad hits Haye hard, I expect it to be fight over and the same the other way around. You could be an expert at picking fights and because of both their strengths and weaknesses, end up looking clueless. This fight really can change at any second.

That's why I made a thread yesterday about the mind games. I think that is, in this case, going to be important. I think the more the mind games affect Wlad, the more it plays into Haye's strategy and that will be interesting. I said before that Wlad doesn't throw right hands against moving opponents, because he doesn't want to ever be unbalanced, but there's a good chance he will, if he is desperate to hurt Haye. I think the mind games may affect Wlad's gameplan to Haye's benefit.

But, yeah, it's a great fight and because both men have many strengths and one glaring weakness each, it's a tough one to pick. Wlad is more technically skilled and composed, whereas Haye has more natural gifts and fights very loose. Tough fight to pick. I only hope that it's a good one, regardless of who wins.

I think anyone who says they are over 90% confident in their pick is either biased or showing too much 'bravado'.

There is huge difference between David Haye and Audley Harrison physically, spiritually and mentally.

David throughout his career has stepped up and been successful.

Pro debut against Tony Booth who had 121 professional bouts and was considered a tough journeyman level fighter, a guy you normally took on after 4 or 5 fights. He took him on and straight away took care of business.

Survived being wobbled and knocked down by L. Mock....past the test of will to win. Every fighter at one point or another will perform sub par, Tyson with Tillis, W. Klit with R. Purrity, Ali with Banks.

In his 10th fight took on A. Williams former IBF cruiserweight world champion.

10 fights....10 knockouts.

11th Fight took on Carl Thompson a top 10 cruiserweight, smashed him around for several rounds but ran out of steam with Thomspon coming on strong to get stopped in the 5th round. This was a heavy lesson for Haye, he had strolled through his first 10 opponents and had just one scare L. Mock...this was all within the first two years as a pro.

Haye goes onto have 4 more bouts and knocking them out all brutally and takes on the European cruiserweight champion knocking him out in 45 seconds.

Defends the belt 3 times including a win over future world crusierweight champion Fraogomani..

In his 5th year as a pro, and his 20th and 21st fights takes on a heavyweight in Bonin and smashes him the first minute and takes on the WBA, WBC champ Mormeck in his own back yard win via knockout.

Unifys the division by taking on Macarnelli.

Then moves up and takes out M. Barrett.

Beats Valuev for the WBA.

This is where he stagnates......fights Ruiz and Harrison.


Haye stepped up every time so to compare him to Harrison a fighter who has fail consistently is stupid.

I belive Wlad will have to much for Haye, but make no mistake....this is Vlad signature fight.
