These are two of the most entertaining fighters of all time. If a fan was to objectively watch both, they would most likely enjoy and respect both fighters in the ring, as I do. W/ how hard some fans love one of these 2, they then feel obilgated to hate the other fighter. They are both termendous fighters, who are awesome to watch, don't punish yourself w/ your undying love/hate feelings. I mean you are a "boxing" fan right.......not a pbf fan...or a pac fan.
Yes but if they fought I would root for Floyd because I've been a fan of his longer and as a fan of both I think Floyd has really been thrown under the bus by a lot of boxing fans if he were to win it would be big time redemption and it wouldnt hurt Manny's career too much
im a boxing fan first, my choice in favoured fighter only comes when/if these two meet but with regards to both of their records and fighters beaten, these guys are the difference between world class and elite....few ppl reside in this bracket.
I thought Floyd was incredible south of 140, then he changed into some materialistic money flinging clown. I can't stand him now, nor his **** talking family. As for Pac, he beat a lot of my favourite fighters, Barrera, Morales, JMM (I love mexican fighters) Hatton, Cotto but you have to admire what he has done. He made me a fan by being real and human, he fights for the fans and has a pair of bollocks.
i love both fighters to death but im starting to hope pacquiao looses a fight simply because this fanboy **** has gone to far. iv spent many many nights analysing who would win against pac and pbf and its very hard to say though iv kind of rested on PBF by decision with pacquiao leading until the 4th or 5th perhaps even knock mayweather down
I like Pac better, I'm a pac fan, but yeah, I'm getting tired of fervent fans saying stupid things like floyd is overrated and such. I like Floyd as well, but not as much as before with him going to far, and looking a little transparent at times... His last mastery of Mosley, really impressed me. It's really amazing how many threads are generated a day due to a rivalry for a fight that may never happen.
yer he is a complete differant fighter past 140 but i feel its because floyd dident carry the power into 140 + you have to respect that he completely mastered a very differant style while still fighting amazing opponents and keeping hes record clean
As fighters yes I am a fan of both. As most entertaining, no. Gomez, Frazier, Armstrong, Qawi, Saad, prime Duran, etc. are more entertaining. Sanchez, Robinson, Benitez, Napoles, Ezzard Charles, Toney, Joe Louis etc. are more skillful.
What amazing opponents? The fact he retired when the Welter division was on fire is enough for me to come to the conclusion that he wanted no risky fights and wanted to keep that '0' because that's all he has. I don't repect that at all.
I'd be surprised if there were, as most boxing fans seem to be consistent in their likes and dislikes, and Pac and Floyd are opposites in most ways. People of offensive fighters will like Pac, people of defensive fighters will like Floyd, people who like fighters to be classy and respectful outside the ring will like Pac, people who like fighters to be repulsive racist scum outside the ring will like Floyd, etc etc.
:amen I like both but many people need to get off their dicks and look to see that boxing has more to offer than them. Floyd and Pacquiao are the two biggest names of the sport right now but are NOT the best boxing has ever offered. The greatest fight I have seen in my life so far is Sanchez/Nelson as I like to study the sport more and not just two men who aren't even the greatest. Armstrong, Greb, Robinson, Fitzsimmon, etc. are all by far greater. Boxing does NOT revolve around 1 or 2 guys and as soon as people realize that ther better. It just shows how much people don't know **** about boxing when Floyd and Pacquiao are the only fighters they think of.
