Shane's perfromance with Floyd will be hurtful to the PPV numbers, but with Manny's stock the way it is now we'll see a high PPV count.

but hey Pac-Margarito sold over A million buys ... and all things considered those are pretty good numbers.

so even with Mosley getting dominated last year vs Floyd if Mosley-Pacquiao does over a Million buys that'd have to be considered a success.

Only you and few Floyd groupies actually believe that Floyd is a bigger draw. Just b/c of US PPV numbers are slightly better for the AMERICAN fighter...doesn't mean he's more popular or a bigger draw. Don't be silly....Floyd is no where near the name Manny is in the states and DEFINITLEY not world wide.

 

Some of my friends are casual fans, neither joyboys or *******s, and see this fight as a copout. They too have wondered why manny is fighting someone who was beat up bad by Floyd.

 

These guys deserve props if Mosley-pac does 1.4mil. This is what OSCAR DE LA HOYA and TITO TRINIDAD DID, two extremely popular and charismatic fighters. Neither manny or shane has much of a personality.

 

Floyd managed to walk away with $40 mil for his Mosley fight. manny only walked off with $22mil for beating up Cotto. manny's international "popularity" and "name" couldn't help him overcome Floyd being an American.

Right....Floyd without a doubt knows how to keep most of his money. he walked away with $40 Mill for two reasons.... He's cut out all the extra fat with regards to who he has to pay and he was facing Shane...a far bigger name who's stock was revitalized after beating Marg over a year before the fight with Floyd.

There's a lot that has to be said with the fact that there were TWO HIGH PROFILE AMERICA boxers on the same card, fighting one anther vs TWO NON AMERICAN Fighters and only one of them (Manny) had the ability to pull in that many PPV buys pretty much all by himself.

 

Don't you see it every night in your nightmares anyways?

 

So Shane is pretty much a sacrafice to the alter of Pac.
