I'm not saying that the psychological part of the game carries 50 %. That would be a bit far-fetched. I'm saying Floyd has a slight edge in the skills department and Manny has a distinct edge in the mental game that offsets Floyd's superior boxing skills. Hence I see it as a pick'em fight.
Manny would stop Floyd or dominate him. Manny at his offensive peak and Floyd away from his prime with a lower than commonly accepted punch resistance. People say Manny looked slower vs Antonio but fail to take into account how much weight he had on pac. If Cotto, Clottey and Margarito fought him at any point from 2007-future he would lose to one of those fighters most likely Cotto.
I like the post of who the hell knows he hasn't fought in a year, I think there are more exciting fights to be made with young up and comers in the division. I don't think Pac-Floyd would be an exciting fight. But of course it would sell because people want to see either Floyd get KTFO or Manny, neither do I think would happen, Floyd would probably win a slow and tactful match, Manny to me has slowed down and Floyd could stay away from him. Time for some fresh blood and younger guys in my opinion. All this talk and bull-oney is like the biggest pre-mature ejaculation ever. I get sick of it, how about some real god damned fights that CAN get made, that's what I want to see, hell with fights that can't!
Nobody. In terms of having the best odds, probably Pacquiao, Ortiz, Williams, Bradley, Khan, Cotto in that order. I'm sure I am missing somebody but big drop off in odds (my opinion) after Pac and Ortiz. Coming up with that little list was extremely difficult and I defaulted to P4P guys. I mean, Mayweather'd dominate everybody...
Pac has a chance... I wish people would chillout over Ortiz, he is not the second coming for beating Berto, esp considering his previous fights.
I always said styles make fights, different fighters bring different skills in the ring. The only way we will truly know is if Floyd begins to clean the division. Other than that is all theories and opinions.
Really no one. Im not saying Floyd is unbeatable either. I just don't see any fighter that would give him major problems in his weight class.
