If he's not the fastest he is one of the top 5 anyway. Roy was a great fighter because of his physical assets but he was brilliant in the ring as well. He was just a smart gifted athlete. Too bad he never lived out his potential as he invented this modern day **** these champs are doing by hand picking the lowest risk highest reward fight without thinking of the fans. I have all his fights on DVD and it is sad watching his current fights compared to his prime. Roy, like Tyson, is ending his career trying harder than before in a sport where his physical advantages allowed him to school people at ease in his prime and now he is risking his life every time he steps in the ring.

he was amazing. He would be a centementre away from a jab, nothing blocking.

I dont think ray was as fast as Jones, not at middleweight anyway, but still really fast and hit like a truck.

Robinson consistently more faster and use a more variety of combinations in the video anyway which should be pretty clear if anyone actually bothers to view the video

The thing is, he wasn't just a fast fighter. Camacho was a fast fighter but he wasn't able to create moves to use his speed to the fullest the way RJJ did.

RJJ baits people and set up traps to catch them. His ring IQ has to be up there with the best.

    He is the fastest IMO

I don't think anyone would leave him outside the top 5 all time.

As for Power and Speed together he's in the top 5 again.

If you DON'T think Robinson has fast hands you're a ****ing idiot.

Anyway i'm still gonna say Meldrick Taylor. Yes, he didn't have that much mustard on them but jesus, those were some fast ass hands.

I agree there are 2 components to speed. How fast your hands actually are in a 3rd person view and how fast your punches are in second person view as they are comign toward you.

ROy feints a lot and keeps you guessing and off balance similar to Mayweather. Not just his hands are physically quick, but his opponents probably never see them even when it's a straight right coming down the middle. Also his relfexes are Godly. He sees openings quciker than almost anybody I've seen.

You can have the fastest hands in the world, but if it takes you 4 seconds to see an opening then you're slow. Roy sees it instantly and fires off a quickass shot.

I think Meldrick Taylor had more hand speed but much less power proportionately.
