What happens if manny can't throw 6 punch combos? What happens if he can't use volume in this fight, then what?

    What then slugger?

It takes two to clinch, generally. But Pac always tries to avoid the clinch, he'll pop back or throw a quick right hook and drop and spin out. Seldom does it happen that when in a rare clinch that Pac will stay clinched. Naz's wizards slaying dragons **** won't work on Pacquiao. He's not going to stand there and clinch with the opponent. It's because he has two of the fastest feet around and they can get him in and out before most guys can react to his diagonal movements.

And you thinking that Mosley's going to get his way clinching and ****, c'mon man?

He's obviously going to think that. Shane isn't at the stage of his career where he can pull off that Floyd Mayweather **** and control punch outputs by countering them to death.

Is this after the 2nd round when Mosley gasses again and can't pull the trigger ?

I can't really see a way out for Mosley. Can you? Only thing I can theorize is the Clottey clamshell, pick his moments to unleash. If he gets caught in a war, he will get caught in Pacmans diagonal movements and lose sight of him, worse thing you can do. Clottey's clamshell kept Pacman in front and center. Clottey didn't throw much out there, but Mosley surely could pick his moments to unleash a killer punch. Problem is it's completely out of character for Mosley, more or less play possum.

Why do you guys always say **** about 6 and 10 punch combos. THose work very well against slow fighters coming forward. If Mosley fights the way that is described here, he won't be getting hit with that crap unless he's on the ropes or late in the fight and already beaten

manny picks off from outside one or two punch at a time. manny may be small with a short reach but he is effective on fighting outside with his quick straights. i don't think shane has the counterpunching skills of marquez to make manny pay

Again I expect manny to win, but Shane will be competitive. Not jmm competitive but he will put up a good fight. I'm not really thinking about the upset. I don't think Shane will KO manny. If Shane were to pull off an upset IMO it would be by decision. I think shanes best chance at an upset victory is a tactical win and not a KO. Hey buts that's me.

No, I really don't like seeing fights I care about live. The fight crowd is just annoying and distracting. If I don't care about the winner then seeing it live occasionally is ok but I prefer on tv. Shanes legacy is secure and he is 39 and way past his prime so an upset is very unlikely. But Shane can be competitive and make a good fight. And that is what I expect.

Clinching pac means getting up close to him and right into his firepower, not a smart idea. Mosley has a sizable reach advantage, he should try to use that.

He will try to do both. Manny fights at midrange. Shane wants to keep him at range but when he can't then he wants to be all the way on the inside. No space, leaning on PAC, tying him up, fighting in between the clinch.

I remember Roach teaching Pac all about defensive clinching in preparation for Hatton.

Not really for battling punch for punch in the clinch, but how to properly angle himself, cover and protect himself from big punches, not get thoroughly manhandled, and wait for the ref to break them up.

I hate to say this, but there's nothing Mosley can do to win this fight besides land a HUGE flush shot to the solar plexus or some other nasty body shot. He's gotta go into J.C. Chavez mode for this fight, straight up. He is too old to execute any tactical **** against a man with much better footwork and footspeed.
