    C'mon psychopath, I think you're a little smarter than a full fledged *******.........

This is'nt Marquez decision to make. Marquez if given the choice may prefer to fight Pacquiao at 147 lbs instead of Canelo, but Marquez' expired contract with GBP states that GBP has the right to match any offer by any other promoter.
......Arum offered Marquez 5 million to fight Pacquiao at 147 lbs.
All GBP has to do to retain the rights to Marquez' next fight it match that offer against anyone they wish at the same weight that Arum is offering Marquez the Pacquiao fight.

Over at the scene, its quoting Canelo as saying he can drop down to 147 lbs no problem.

If GBP offers Marquez the Canelo fight with the same terms that Arum offered Marquez the Pacquiao fight, Marquez does'nt have a choice but to accept the GBP offer as they have the right to match any offer by Arum.

The only way Arum can stump GBP is to offer Marquez the Pacquiao fight at 140 lbs, in which case there is absolutely no way Canelo can drop all the way down to 140 lbs for GBP to match Arum's offer.

Yes GBP has the right to match any offer from any other promoters . . . in the end JMM will have to decide which offer to take. That's how I understand it.

    Absolutely not!

It does'nt make any sense for a promoter to have the right to match any offer but Marquez can choose which offer to take?:huh

Thats an oxy moron........Marquez current contract states GBP has a right to match any offer from any other promoter to retain the rights to Marquez' next fight.

Its really that simple Psycho......IF GBP offers the Canelo fight at 147 lbs with the same financial terms Arum put in writing to Marquez.....Marquez does'nt have a choice in this matter.

Example, if then Arum offers the same terms to Marquez, but with the fight at 140 lbs, GBP has can block that Pacquiao fight at 140 lbs if they are willing to offer Marquez the same financial terms against anyone of their fighters at 140 lbs.

.......and even if Arum would to offer Marquez the Pacquiao fight at 140 lbs, GBP could offer Marquez Morales at 140 lbs under the same terms just so they can block Arum from taking Marquez from under them

The ******* does'nt want to admit it, but short of the Mayweather fight not being made, Arum needs Marquez to be Pacquiao's next opponent. Next to Mayweather, that fight makes the most financial sense.
Enough sense that it should be co-promoted by both Arum and GBP but for obvious feuding reasons, Arum is'nt willing to do that.

    OK . . . that's where I'm lost.

The word "offer" means it's not binding yet. I'm just being technical about that . . . so I don't believe JMM cannot decide anymore. SAME FINANCIAL reward but different opponents.

you're the only clown in this board. How can a Canelo fight match the Pac fight when the Pac fight comes with PPV shares. It seems that you were cheering for DLH's offer. Not confident with JMM's chances thjis time? :yep

Under normal circumstances, GBP would never attempt to take a potential cash cow like Canelo, dehydrate him, and feed him to a master technichian like Marquez.
....but its a risk that GBP might be willing to take, and especially because Canelo has an axe to grind with Marquez.
Marquez criticized the WBC for giving Canelo the opportunity to fight Hatton for the 154 lbs title over other opponents that were more deserving.

......before Arum even made an offer to Marquez, Canelo had already publicly called Marquez out for a fight at 147 lbs.

Pac PPV >>> bigger than anything that has Canelo written on it.

If JMM truly wants to fight Pac, he should have his lawyer and say that GBP's offer isn't at par with Top Rank's offer. DOnaire has bigger balls than MArquez when it comes to severing ties with a promoter. i expected more from JMM especially that he's been trash-talking Pac for the last three years.

And what's up with the 140 deal? if you think the Canelo offer at 147 matches the Top Rank offer, what's stopping GBP from offering Khan at 140 to match TR again?

I'm quite surprised you are lauding GBP's actions to prevent the third fight from happening.
